For Sale 83 Scirocco. This car runs strong and looks amazing for its age! 8v, techtonics exhaust, short shift kit (not installed but included with car) 16v taillights, 16v interior, and 16v teardrop rims with brand new tires. This car is super clean, runs fantastic, and is a blast to drive. This is a salvage title, but don't be scarred off by that. Basically what happened is the car was in a fender bender. Farmers insurance thought it was better to salvage the car than repair it. The car was repaired, fender replaced and it's hard to tell it was ever in an accident. In California when a car is a salvage title, it must pass a brake and light inspection before the title can be transferred. I have taken the car in twice and it didn't pass either time. The first time was because the e-brake wasn't hooked up, the second time it was because the license plate light was out. The e-brake has been fixed and the license plate light has been replaced. I haven't had the time to take it back for another inspection. Everything works on the car (all the lights, gauges, speedo), the engine sounds strong and the car dives and handles amazingly well. As you can see from the photos, this car is in great shape. There are however, a few blemishes: it is missing a splashguard on the left side, the driver seat is torn and ripped, and there is a big tear in the headliner, and the driver side door handle needs to be replaced. Recently, there has been a grinding sound coming from the passenger side front brakes (it sounds like the rotors) I have a newborn, started a new job, and I am in school. It is difficult to find the time to work on the car. I have a set of replacement rotors from a 16v Scirocco (also included in the sale of the car) To get the title transferred in CA, the car must pass a light and brake inspection and smog inspection. It is $77.00 for the light and brake inspection and I think $60.00 for the smog inspection. The title to the car has not been transferred in my name. I will include the current title, a copy of the bill of sale from the person I purchased the car from, and I will also provide a bill of sale for the new owner.
