2000 Dodge Durango, has engine issues. We filled up with gas and within 5 miles the engine started running rough, it was 18 degrees outside, so we thought we had bad gas. The engine stalled and we had to leave the vehicle for about 4 hours and when we returned it had been stolen. It took about a week to find it and the damage that was done was to the front grill as they tried to disconnect the battery and turn off the alarm system. We cannot get the engine to run now. A mechanic for the insurance company says there is a cracked head or block because there is pressure building in the radiator. So you are purchasing the vehicle with the idea of worst case replacing the motor, best case having the heads fixed. This vehicle has a Kentucky rebuilt title, which means it was totaled at one time (at about 40K miles). The frame was bent behind the front wheels from running head first into a deep ditch, repairs were made and it runs true and straight no tire wear issues. The 4 wheel drive works great, transmission shifts like new, has new tires, very good leather interior, no third seat option on this one. New chrome side step bars, no rust on the body (except where the rear and front damage is), privacy glass, AM/FM cassette and CD player, cold AC and good heat. This vehicle is good for repair and drive or part it out. It is being sold "as is"; as we do not know for sure what it will take to fix it. We loved this Durango; but just do not have time to fix it.
