Up for auction is this 1965 Mustang Coupe. This is a project car and needs total restoration. I bought this car from the original owner who bought it new in June of 1966. It was a leftover from the 1965 model year and an early 1965 at that. It has the typical 1964-1/2 front end. The car came from Ford with the 289 V8 and a three speed manual transmission. It was driven only seven years, had engine problems and parked at the farm with the intention of replacing the engine. They bought and installed a replacement engine and forgot the anti-freeze the first winter and froze out the water jacket on the back side of the block. The car comes with the original block and the replacement block. Neither is in the car. This is a complete car, everything there. There are rust issues in the back seat pans, the front drivers pan, and in the trunk where the floor pans meet the inner fenders.
