Vehicle Detail

Light Ivory Porsche 914 2.0L with original, complete Fuel Injection. Built in 1973, Model Year 1974. Quick, solid, and great fun to drive. Originally sold by Bob Smith Sports Cars to its first owner in Los Angeles, and in Southern California since then on its California Blue Plates. Battery relocated by PO to front trunk, fuel pump relocated to front trunk under the standard Porsche blister for '75 models, Wilwood brake proportioning valve. "Hell hole" shows no visible rust - was repaired when battery relocated. Front trunk floor has rectangular hole where A/C condenser was installed: car comes with replacement used trunk floor that can be welded in place (I've never got around to having this done - the car is never driven in rain anyway.) See photos. Rear clip replaced by previous owner. Engine tuned by previous owner. Mahle pistons etc.. Repaint in 2004 in original colour of Light Ivory. Large folder of receipts going back to 1988. This car has a Salvage title from sometime prior to 1988. Who knows why - certainly not me - and it didn't bother me at all when I bought the car. However, if a Salvage title bothers you on a nice, solid, running 37 year old car, then please do not bid! Center console with: Volts, Manifold Vacuum, Cylinder Head Temp, and Oil Pressure gauges. Odometer was replaced, so mileage reading not accurate. New (less than 100 miles) Kumho 195/60R15 tires all round, on "Dan Gurney" lightweight wheels. Targa top rear rubber seals replaced. All new vacuum hoses. New plugs and wires. New air filter. New engine compartment insulation. New Coverlay dash cover. Windscreen washer upgraded to electric pump. New driving/fog lights installed together with OEM dash switch. Rear light cluster seals (both sides) replaced. All electrics working correctly. In the cooler months it needs a few ignition turns to start. Timing is bang on, all vacuum hoses replaced, new air filter, TPS cleaned and adjusted, etc.. More photos here: 914 Photos Let me know if you need more photos, or more information, or would like to come and see the car (highly recommended!). I'm selling because I just bought an E-Type Jag to restore, which has resulted in the 914 not getting the use it deserves.
