***** WAIT A MOMENT AND SEVERAL PICTURES WILL LOAD BELOW***** 2004 BMW R1200C THIS CLASSIC BIKE IS READY TO RIDE NOW. ALL SERVICES WERE DONE, AND IT NEEDS NOTHING BUT A NEW RIDER I HAVE INSTALLED A "NATIONAL CYCLE" WINDSHIELD FOR ADDED COMFORT. TIRES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH BETTER THAN 80% LIFE - ABS BRAKES - NO FAULT - NO DAMAGE - NO ACCIDENTS - SOME TECHNICAL DATA: BMW introduced their first cruiser style motorcycle, the R1200c, in 1997. By the time they introduced the 2004 models, BMW had sold nearly 40,000 R1200c models around the world, and almost a third of those were to first-time BMW owners. The 2004 BMW lineup included four R1200c models, the Montauk, Classic, Independent and the R 1200CL touring model. Engine Specs The 2004 BMW R1200c models were powered by an 1170 cc, liquid cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected, parallel-twin-cylinder engine with four valves per engine. Bore and stroke were 101 mm by 73 mm. Compression ratio was 10.0:1, except on the Independent, which had a compression ratio of 10.3:1. Claimed horsepower was 61 at 5,000 rpm and maximum torque was 72.3 foot-pounds at 3,000 rpm. All of the 2004 R1200c models had electric ignition. Transmission Specs All of the 2004 BMW R1200c models were equipped with five-speed -- one down, four up -- transmissions, except the CL, which had a six-speed -- one down five up -- transmission. Power was transferred to the rear wheel via a shaft final drive. The clutch on the R1200c models was a single-disc dry system. Reviews on the transmission were mixed, with some calling it "smooth, direct and positive" and others referring to it as "clunky." Body BMW built the R1200c models around a three-section composite frame with front and rear sections and used the engine as a load-bearing member of the frame. The BMW Motorrad Telelever provides front suspension with the adjustable BMW Motorrad Monolever WAD strut handling suspension in the rear. The 2004 R1200c models were all available with anti-lock brakes. The front brakes were dual 305 mm discs with four-piston calipers and the rear brake was a single 285 mm disc with four-piston calipers. The touring CL model had a bar-mounted fairing, hard luggage and wiring for heated handgrips, heated seats and a radio. Dimensions The 2004 BMW R1200 Classic had a length of 92.1 inches, width of 41.3 inches and height of 44.5 inches. The rider sat 29.1 inches off the ground. Dry weight was 524 pounds. The Independent was 92.1 inches long, 41.3 inches wide and 44.5 inches high. The rider sat 29.1 inches off the ground. Dry weight was 527 pounds.
