Vehicle Detail

Too many cars, not enough time. Up for auction is my 1974 Vega GT. It's just like the one in the Vega ads. I am the Second owner. It was off the road from 1980 until last month, in storage in Perris California, but it is currently registered and has a clean California title. This car has always been in California and it's not a typical rust bucket Vega. I was planning on keeping it, but other things have popped up in the way. Vega just out of storage since 1980.!! This car has 64000 original miles, it was stored away and the original owner who never came back to get it. When I got the car it did not have keys or the original motor. Almost everything else is there. It is a very complete car. I bought a good running 4 cylinder out of a 71 Vega that I was going to put in it. I have a new clutch/pressure plate and correct flywheel. The motor was running good when taken from the other Vega and was getting about 25 miles to the gallon. These parts come with the car. However, I realized when I decided to sell it, that a large portion of people interested would probably drop a V-8 in it anyway, so I didn't put it in yet. It's up to the buyer to do what they want with the car. Wait---Commercial Break---- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V5dL6jZlm4&feature=related So, here's the good and bad. The bad.The windshield is cracked, there is rust around the front windshield and back hatch . There is a little patch of rust at the fender tips just behind the wheels on the passenger side. There are NO keys for the car. Of course it needs a motor of your choice installed, but like I said I have a 4 cylinder and new clutch stuff that goes with the car. Seeing as how the car hasn't been on the road in 30 years, the fuel tank needs to get checked out. Needs a front turn signal lens. Driver's seat has some separation of the seat cover, but not too bad. Needs a couple of pieces of rear window trim. The good. Very complete Vega. It has the Original paint which is in remarkable shape. It's a 4 speed GT Vega. There has never been any body work done to the car. Original Ralley wheels with Caps and Trim rings, with an extra Ralley wheel for the spare. Original interior with ralley guages, Seats are nice. . Carpet is nice. I pulled the carpet back to check the floors and they were really nice! No rust. I took pictures, check them out... I can assist in shipping to anywhere the car needs to go. Happy bidding. Hopefully Rip Van Vega will find a good home. Any questions hit me up here.
