Vehicle Detail
The 1961 Studebaker 3/4 ton truck from California was restored in 2007. It drives like typical 3/4 ton trucks of the 1960's. The engine is a 1971Chevy 350 rebuilt with all new parts including Edelbrock intake & 600cfm carburetor, Accel electronic ignition, new alternator, cam and dual exhaust. The Turbo 400 transmission has a Doug Nash overdrive which is left in O/D due to the 4.10 ratio of the Dana 70 rear end. Brakes are power drum type with a Bendix Hydro-vac booster. The interior was redone with Autometer gauges, new radio and tape player, 4 speaker system and a dash pad. A class III hitch was installed. Tires are excellent, glass is all new and sale includes the original dual gas tanks and original rear end as well as service manual, parts manual, catalogs and literature. Questions may be addressed to Steve at 574-848-4071 as well as this listing This truck would make a nice advertisement for a business or a nice addition to a collection. Studebaker started the trend of car-like interiors with the Champ pickup line. This vehicle is ready to be driven anywhere, does drive nicely and pulls a car trailer with no problems at all. The mileage listed is mileage since completion of restoration so it is just started to be broken in. The vehicle is kept inside and not driven in bad weather (Northern Indiana location). PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD WITH NO RESERVE!
