General Description: This Jeep would make a great small project or great for a 2nd car. With a little TLC and elbow grease this Jeep could look like new! It could be used for primary local transportation. But if you drive a long distance for work, or intend to go on road trips, this is probably not what you are looking for. Please read the description and look at the photos carefully. I have tried to capture all the good points and the bad points. Please look at the pictures on eBay and on Flickr. I even have uploaded a movie to Flickr of the Jeep running. I just drove this Jeep on a 90 mile trip and it rides down the highway smooth and stable at 75 mph. Please take note that the top and doors are optional and the bid price does not include the doors or top. (I would prefer to keep the doors for another Jeep that I own, but I will include them if the buyer pays $900 for the doors and $400 for the Top. The top and door prices are not negotiable.) Safety Inspection: The Jeep was inspected in November 2010 and passed both the New York State safety and Emissions inspection. Please see this link to understand what is done during a NYS Inspection. http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/broch/c-50.htm Frame: I inspected the frame for holes and cracks and it appears solid but there is surface rust as shown in the pictures. Glass The windshield needs to be replaced. It has a spider web crack as shown in the photos. Body and Paint: The body is very good but there is typical "Jeep Rust" as shown in the pictures. Please see the photos. (The Floor are all solid. Please see the pictures. Only surface rust! No holes!) The rear floors are really good. Engine / Transmission / Axles: The Engine runs very good and starts up and runs excellent. It does not smoke or make any unusual noise or leak any fluids. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts smooth without any issues. The 4wd works and the axles appear to be in 100% working order. The engine does not knock or appear to have any major mechanical issues. Exhaust system: The exhaust system is in good working condition and does not leak or sound loud. Steering and Suspension: Steering and suspension feel great. No issues detected when I drive it. Brakes: The brakes are in good working condition. The e-brake works! Interior: The seats, and dashboard are in good condition but the dash has been painted black. The painting job was very good and it must have been completely removed and masked off, because there is no overspray. Some one took alot of time to paint the dash. It looks presentable, but it is not OEM. There are no carpets. The front seats are nice, cloth. No tears, The back seat is vinyl and it looks nice. Please see the photos for detail. Top Condition: No top. Top shown is available for $400. Other Items Available. I do have a Best Top hard top for sale that I will sell separately for $1750. It has a defroster. I will not negotiate the price of the Top, because I can use it for my other Jeep. It was over $2500 new but I don't drive my jeep in the winter, so I can use just my soft top. Payment: A $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction is required. I will only accept cash upon pickup for the vehicle. Final payment must be made within 7 days of the auction close. I have a 4 year engineering degree, so I have some formal education and I also like to fix things, so I have some hands on experience too.
