1981 Honda Gold Wing

For bid is my 1981 interstate gl1100..This is a project bike..motor good ,tranny good,rear good..body and frame good..Ok ive had this for about 3 months and purchased it to fix up and ride,no sooner than i got it home ,I ran across a 1985 v65sabre..I decided to fix this one up instead..The guy i got this wing from started the conversion over to make it a naked wing..I donot have any of the plastics nor did i want them..anyway he could not get it to run..so i got it home and turned the petcock to on and believe it or not that was the reason it didnt run,the gas was off lol.now ,it doesnt idle but it does run ,im sure carbs will need cleaned as its been sitting for years.....So being it started i decided why not take it down the road..shifts as it should,good clutch lots of power in high rpms...I am selling this as a "fixer upper" if you will..it will need front tire ,ignition,front pegs,headlight turn signals and battery..also there is an oil leak out of the weep hole underside front of motor ..this from what ive read is common and should be an o-ring behind the water pump ..with all that being said i do have money into this bike and will not give it away,i will part it first and make money before that happens..this bike has good value ,and these naked wings are really making a comeback,seeing more and more round here ,in ohio..average selling price for these are right around 3000.i know mine needs work so not expecting that at all,but again im not gonna give it away...i also have a clear title for it....if you are a zero bidder do not bid before contacting me first as i will delete your bid...high bidder wins..i do have a reserve price ..if you bid expect to pay............a 200 $ non refundable deposit needs to be paid within 24hrs of auction end..i will hold bike up to 2weeks which should be plenty of time for you to come pick this up.i will not ship you will need to pick up from Marysville Ohio 43040..item needs paid in full no later than 3 days of auction end..thanks to all in advance ....almost forgot this bike has been garaged for a long time so it is in pretty good shape,some surface rust here and there but nothing major that i have foundOn Apr-08-11 at 10:43:26 PDT, seller added the following information: i am also selling this locally and reserve the right to end auction early if it sells locally!!! if reserve is met i will not sell locally and let this auction run its course....thanksOn Apr-08-11 at 20:29:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a local offer for trade for a pickup truck..please bid if you are intereseted or u may loose out on the opportunity to own this ..again if reserve is met i will let the auction ride out ,but chances are it may not make it so if you are interested please bid thanks to all!!!!
