Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is a 1977 Chevrolet Elcamino Classic. It has a 350 engine with a 4 barrel carb. and headers on it. It has a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and a high dollar set of braided plug wires. The engine sounds good. The trans is a 200 metric which was just installed, it shifts pretty good manually but not so good automatically, and the reason is there isnt a bracket for the TV cable. Once that is installed and the cable adjusted properly it should be fine. I am not a trans mechanic so you will have to fix that yourself. The car will not be driveable for that reason. The brakes are good. The car has a complete air conditioning system but probably needs charged. The body is pretty good with no rust showing although it has had some work done. The paint looks better in the pics than it actually is but with a little buffing etc it will look good for a driver. Dont get me wrong, the car looks pretty good but does need a little attention. The bottom of the doors are rusted as all of them are. but theres no rust thru on the outer skins. The drivers side floor pan is good but the passenger side has been roughly repaired. The rear floor panels are pretty good with just a little rust. The frame is solid. The bed floor has maybe 4 or 5 holes in it about the size of a quarter. The paint on the top and hood looks to be cracking up as if it were painted with lacquer at sometime. One of the pics show this. The interior is average for a 77 model car. The dash pad is rough on top, door panels are faded but good, carpet is faded but useable as a driver. It has a rear slider window. All the glass is good. The hood has a couple dings in it but IS NOT bent like most of them do at the hinge area. Tires are good with a little dry rot cracks on a couple of thm. Wheels are rallys with chevy center caps from unknown origin. Front bumper is good but the top has the chrome peeling some, rear is damaged some. Tailgate works good. If you have any questions please drop me an email. My feedback is 100% positive and I plan to keep it that way so rest assure that I tell it like it is, no games. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid on this vintage, classic Elcamino. I require a $250 nonrefundable deposit at auctions end and the balance within 3 days. Delivery may be possible depending on your location!!On Apr-05-11 at 06:42:45 PDT, seller added the following information: The pictures were taken yesterday, the date is wrong on the camera. Thanks
