Hello, thanks for viewing my listing. This auction is for a 1989 Acura Legend, V6L, that includes several features, like Power Steering, Sunroof, Tinted Windows, Power Windows, BBS Rims, Powerful engine (needs minor valve job (Valve bonnets)), Great Body (with minor dings), and great heart. Notes About this Auction: This is great for a Mechanic, Ethuasts, or some looking for several parts to use or resale. If I planned on keeping this car, I would just switch from an automatic Transmission to a Manual, and you got yourself a great car. This car will drive, but I highly recommend tow dolly, or tow truck. (also if driving, it will need one additional good tire). I am trying to save myself some time for parting and selling pieces. I figure the engine is worth $400-$500 on ebay, and the additional parts sold separately could easily sell for another $500 or more, not to mention a set of BBS Rims. History: This car has been a great car to me, but unfortunately on one day after pulling out into some heavy traffic, the transmission started acting weird. I took it to several repair shops, and spent over 5000.00 in repairs, one shop was Cottman Transmission, who failed and failed to fix the problem after $3000+ invested I didn’t get a refund or a working car. They proclaim they fix transmissions but not electrical problems between transmission and control unit. Although the transmission is electrically controlled, I wished they would have told me that can't fix electronic transmissions. I ended up fixing it myself using the Owner repair manuals which will be included in this auction as well. I believe to have source the problem down to an electrical communication/break issue between sensors, solenoids and automatic control unit. I test every wire, and since 2005, I have installed three transmissions. Every one of them after some time fails because the car shifts erratically during driving. The first item that fails is usually the drive/reverse gear. I finally thought I have had enough and wanted to give someone a chance at bringing back a true "legend". For the time I enjoyed driving this car, it was the best car I ever had. Runs great, great response, lock-up torque, and a beast of engine which it seems annihilate the transmission. It is a great disappointment to me to give up this car, but I must move on. I also have video of this running. I used heavy 20W-50 oil to avoid the valves bonnets from burning off oil. I haven't really run or drove the car or changed the oil in the last 4 years, so hence the smoke, but if I change the oil the smoke goes away immediately (these cars are known for that when they get old). Please email me if you have any questions. The car has a ding on the driver’s side door, and someone backed in to me at the shopping center and dented the qtr. panel on the passenger side. I managed to remove some of the dent. The rims are BBS Aluminum Rims in great condition; one rim has scratches on the wall because the car had a flat tire. The centers need to be replaced.
