This causes the SERVICE ENGINE SOON, ABS, and BREAKS lights to always display on the dash board. The ABS began acting up a year ago, I brought it to my mechanic, he told me I could replace a chip or unplug the ABS and drive with standard brakes. I chose to have the ABS unplugged as it was much cheaper. I haven't had any issues with the brakes since then. Since recently thinking about selling it, I talked with a certified GM mechanic. He said the issue MIGHT be that my oversized tires are not calibrated with the car computer, causing the ABS to not recognize the larger size tires and thus engage the ABS incorrectly. This would make sense to me, because with these larger tires, the speedometer gives incorrect readings around 60mph and up I've noticed. The easiest and cheapest solution is to not fix this, as it really has never affected me, or to move back down to the normal size tires once these current ones need to be replaced. You could also replace the chip or have it recalibrated but that would cost money. Either way, I won't care if you want to bring it to a mechanic before deciding to buy it. I just don't want to spend the money myself to have that done as this has never given me any real issues. I'm just trying to sell this truck so that I can buy a motorcycle and safety gear:) My name is David. My cell is 405.408.6757, My email is DavidLGlick@gmail.com Give me a call or email with any questions you have. If you're interested in buying it, you don't even have to do it through ebay, I don't sell on here often, and am just trying to give the truck some visibility to potential buyers, so if you like it and are interested, contact me and we'll try to work out a deal that we're both happy with:) The truck runs great and has never given me any trouble other than the ABS issue. Hope to hear from you, and if you want you can of course buy it through ebay as well, I'm staying flexible with all potential buyers. I looked at how it would need to be fixed, the part can probably be picked up for very cheaply, especially if from a salvage yard of some sort. i can lower the price a little for this if you call me and are interested, or fix it if you buy it and want me to fix it for you.
