Vehicle Detail
. I DON’T REMEMBER SEEING A MUSTANG THIS SOLID IN MANY MANY YEARS. NO RESERVE AUCTION !!!! THE CAR WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGH BIDDER………. NO RESERVE !!!!!!! NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! HIGH BID WINS !!!!!!!!!!! I AM LOOKING FOR THE WINNING BIDDER TO PAYPAL A 300. DEPOSIT IMMEDIATLY FOLLOWING AUCTION END. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE PLEASE DO NOT BID. THANKS 1970 Ford Mustang A VERY ORIGINAL CAR !!! 302 2bbl. (I believe the orig. motor) Single exhaust V-8 Auto with Power steering and Air Conditioning. It starts right up and sounds great. The motor is as quiet as a mouse and runs beautiful. The rear end has a hum to it but works well. The transmission shifts very well. It also has a fairly new radiator. The A/C could use a charge I would guess. I can hear it click on but it doesn’t blow out real cold. I don’t know a lot about the history of the car as I haven’t had it that long but after looking it over pretty close it looks as if the rear quarter panels are original and only the left rear one has a small metal patch welded in over top of the rear left wheel. Done extremely neat. This can be seen inside the trunk looking in over the top of the left rear wheel. It was cut out and welded in very neatly. I don’t know how they made it this long but everything points to them being original. I don’t see any other rear quarter rust repairs when looking in the trunk. The original ford undercoat with the red paint on it is still on the lower rear quarters which can be seen looking in the trunk behind the rear wheels inside that cubby area.. As pictured the factory spot welds can be seen behind the rear wheels at the bottoms of the rear quarters. This can also be seen under the rocker panels. The lower front fenders also look just as nice and solid leading me to believe these haven’t had any rot repairs either. This has got to be the most solid original mustang I have seen in years. The paint on this car goes back around 10 years or so and still shows pretty decent. It has some imperfections and chips here and there but this car has a “SWEET” look and is EXTREMELLY SOLID !!!! . Come look and satisify yourself. The floor pans also look to be original and look very solid. It has had 2 partial front pans. The torque boxes and frame rails look great and VERY SOLID + VERY ORIGINAL !!!! . The front fenders also appear to be original and never rusted. The trunk also looks good. I would suggest cleaning up the frame + the floors and then Maybe some black paint to make them look nice and keep the weather out. This car looks to have had only the one repaint. The chrome looks to be original and doesn’t show perfect but still has a nice shine. I did pull up the rug in one area and found the “Build Sheet” under there. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING,,,, NOT AFTER !!! I bought this car recently and regretfully have to part with it as I am not working many hours now. Someone will really enjoy this car. I’m told the 75,466 miles on the dash are the original miles. I have no way to prove that but if you were to look this car over it all appears to be the right miles. Even the seats and rug look to be still the original “Ford” material and in nice original condition. I would suggest a headliner as this one still is clean looking but has been sewen in the front area. Things that I see that work well are the outside lights, wipers, horn, emergency brake, fan blower, even the cigarette lighter works. What I see that needs attention is the brake lights and dash gauges. I have a New set of under dash gauges I never got to install that I will include with the car. It also could use a radio. The radio hole doesn’t look altered at all. The car also has a set of nice looking radial tires and mag wheels. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET A WHOLE LOT OF MUSTANG FOR THE MONEY !!!!!!! In Connecticut the title and the registration are one. The ownership transfer is done in the buyers section on the reverse side the last registration. Since I drove this on a transport plate and never registered it myself I will give the transfer paperwork to the new owner just as I got it, just signed and you can fill out the buyers name and address as you will. Please be sure the car meets all your expectations. come and inspect it or send an inspection co. to do it for you. This description is mearly my opinion. The miles are belived to be true but can’t be documented with age of the car. Selling as is. 300.00 deposit is due immediately following the auction end. Balance due within 5 days. A check is fine but will need atleast one to two weeks to clear my bank before car or title leaves. This is what my bank has told me. Cash if you are looking to pick up the car personally. Because I put the car on a "NO RESERVE" auction I think it's only fair the auction runs to the end. thanks
