Vehicle Detail

70 NOVA SS 350 4/Speed. This SS needs restored, but it is complete....right down to the ORIGINAL/CORRECT XT coded (COPO) wheels w/poverty hub caps, original and number matching M20 Muncie, & 12-bolt Posi w/331 gears. An original Quartez Silver, w/Black bucket seat deluxe interior Super Sport....Power Disc Brakes...Manual Steering. The original shifter is still in place...and it still requires you putting it into reverse to get the ignition key out...(in fact the key buzzer even still works on this car). This car is cool, a documented survivor. This 70 SS was originally purchased at Russ Lyons Chevrolet in Boulder Colorado according to the original PROTECTO-PLATE. In 1974 it was sold to Robert Arogon, who I purchased the car from. It comes with the original TEMP TAG issued to Robert in 1974 (something cool to have). Those of you who are not familiar with the XT coded wheels....they came on SS Nova’s....and COPO 427 cars, such as 69 COPO 427 CAMARO, and although this Nova SS is a 1970 model year...it was one of the earliest ones (being assembled in September of 1969)...so the wheels are dated prior to that... (All 4 are dated June 24 1969 … there value is apparent in the COPO CAMARO community). This car is in need of Quarter patch panels...and lower panels in the front fenders...but the trunk and trunk extensions are very solid. (I have a new full Goodmark quarter panel and outer wheel panel for the driver side that comes with the car...so you'll only need the one side). Other than that...this car has never been hit...and has only minimal dings and some surface rust in areas. It will need an interior kit...but the back seat is in great original shape....& the buckets are great cores (plastic hardware isn't all scuffed up...headrests ARE NOT cracked...etc). The Nova comes with a new set of deluxe front door panels (pre-assembled ones....not the cheap ones). The original jack and hardware is still in the trunk (no spare tire). The dash still retains the factory radio... & the original number matching M20 Muncie and shifter still shift surprisingly nice (the 4-speed is solid and quiet). The front fender vents and Nova emblems were taken off…and are in the trunk. There are a lot of alleged or “cloned” SS Novas out there...but very few documented real SS Nova's. This car has 2 1/2 Broadcast sheets... its original PROTECTO-PLATE warranty book...and a great original color combination in Quartez Silver w/black bucket seat 4-speed deluxe interior. When I say all number matching, that includes the engine, trans, rear-end, distributor, exhaust manifolds, intake....etc. The original SS 350 motor was removed by the previous owner when it started using oil. It was taken out of the car and put on a pallet for storage as pictured... COMPLETE... from air cleaner to pan, exhaust manifolds, spark plug shields...everything except the alternator is still in tact on the pallet as pictured (and the original date coded alternator is on the motor that is currently in the car...a mid 70s 400 small block). The car does run and drive, and has not been re-painted numerous times. The pictures really do it no justice...as someone years ago did a sad job of priming over most of the Quartez Silver. One of the nicest things about the car is how complete and documented it is. If you’re a serious buyer...feel free to call me anytime at 303-995-9533. (I am located in Denver) Thank You Dave On Apr-07-11 at 20:00:46 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI ....I will be leaving on a trip to Kentucky the week following the end of this auction. So if you are a winning bidder....and need the Nova & parts dilivered (or brought closer to you) at a discount...we may be able to do that. We can travel I-70 (through Kansas/St Louis) or we can travel I-80 through say the Chicago area. Hope that helps ya out if needed. On Apr-08-11 at 15:31:35 PDT, seller added the following information: We've had a few questions about codes & protectoplate info. Here is what they are for you. Hope that answers all your questions. On Apr-09-11 at 00:41:18 PDT, seller added the following information: ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: Unfortunately there are some clowns here on E-Bay that like to play around at what most of us call "Fantasy" bidding...they then later retract there bids (once reality sets in... or they figure out they hit the reserve and cant afford to follow through....whichever comes first apparently). It would be greatly appreciated if you picked somewere else to play your games....believe it or not, the rest of us actually pay to be on here. PLEASE....if you cant afford it, or havent recieved pre-approved permission from your wife, banker, or dog...DONT BID, this is not a game. To the rest of you honest people; Thank You for taking the time to read this....its greatly appreciated.
