Up for auction is my 1991 SPG. I have had this car for 6 years and used it as daily transportation. Around town it does mid 20's mpg and on the highway 30 mpg. The car needed a gear box when i bought it, and i put one in that was rebuilt by a saab garage in columbus ohio. The rebuilt gearbox now has a little over 100,000 miles on it. Shifts great, smooth and no grinding through gears. Car runs great, no issues with losing coolant, and it does not smoke. While i owned this car i have simply changed oil every 3,000 miles, and done the usual maintenance such as brakes, belts, tires and a new battery about a year ago. No major issues while i have driven the car mechanically speaking. The starter works but sounds like it could be needing service sometime soon. A/C does not work. I think it just needs recharged. Windows both go up and down. Rear hatch lock does not work and i never paid much attention to fixing the issue. CD player is aftermarket, i installed it using quick connections and it still works not a great one but it works. The car does have wear and tear. As can be seen in the pictures the rear hatch has dents, and there are other small dents on the driver and passenger sides. Car is also rusty, a wheel well was repaired poorly before i bought the car, and as seen in the photo bondo and rust has got the best if it. Surface rust and some rot in the wheel wells, hatch doors, fenders, and hood. Front subframe is rotten and the floors are rotten and gone on the driver side. When it rains the floor gets wet. Interior is worn the driver seat has some rips and tears, and carpet is shot. Dash has some cracks, and the windshield got a stone chip in it a few years ago, and this winter the heat cracked it from top to bottom. Car is complete and driveable, but would make a good parts car. Due to all the rust it would need some work in the floors and subframe to make it road worthy again. Body kit is there, but the right front passenger side fender panel is off a regular turbo car because the spg panel got lost. As far as wheels i can see one is defineately bent which can be seen in one of the photos. This is a complete car, and if you have an spg or regular 900 that is rust free then this is the car for you to make yours into an spg clone. Tires are also shot, all 4 need replaced. Rack and pinion is worn out i filled the power steering reservoir every week because it leaked fluid. I am selling because the car got rusty and needed tires, rather than putting the money in it i purchased a 99 9^5 to upgrade to. So i no longer need this car. Again the ar drives and can be loaded on trailer. i used it for daily transportation untill about 3 weeks ago.
