Vehicle Detail

This car is a 1992 Ford Taurus with a silver exterior and gray leather interior. The car has been in my ownership for exactly 4 years. I am the 4th owner of the vehicle. I bought it from my sister-in-law where it was garaged in Alexandria, Virginia. It is in fair to good condition- there are the usual nicks where the paint has worn which is typical for a car that is 19 years old. The most noticable area is the rear quarter panel on the driver's side. It is dented from another car. I swerved to avoid someone that cut me off and was brushed by another car denting the quarter panel and cracking the brake lens (still works). The headliner has a few poke holes above the rear seat from the brake hoods on my road bicycle but is still totally intact. I have put in a new stereo which has a cd player. The recent repairs are as follows: New Water Pump: 143,000 miles (October 2010) New Serpentine Belt: 133,000 miles (May 2009) Front Brakes: 123,000 miles (January 2008) Other than these repairs, the nomal maintenance of oil changes every 3,000 miles has been done and the fluids have been changed. The front tires are in good shape and the rear have a few miles left on them but will have to be replaced soon. The last item to mention is that depending on the buyer you may want to have the left front strut plate looked at and replaced. The mechanic at the repair shop I normally bring the car to indicated that the rubbing noise that occurs when the wheel is turned while in park or moving very slowly is caused by the power steering pump but then agreed with me that it is probably from the strut plate. I only suggested to him that this was probably the source because my old maintenance records from the original owner indicate the right side was replaced around 99,000 miles. It doesn't bother me and has no factor on the drivability of the car. The car is in New Jersey. I fly for an airline out of Newark so the car either sits in a secured employee parking lot or at my friend's driveway in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. I drive it between the airport and my friend's home when I'm up in New Jersey each week and occasionally drive it to my parents up in New England when I go to visit. The reason for my selling the vehicle is that my grandmother passed away in December and I will be using her vehicle as my 'second' car when I'm up in New Jersey for my flying trips.
