1999 Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am I am a private owner and have enjoyed this car immensely. I purchased this car just before my retirement in November 2000 with plans to show the car at local and regional car shows and drive it only on zero precipitation weekends! It had 7,600 miles on the odometer when I bought it and today it has almost 12,800 pampered miles – never raced! Most people interested in this car already understand its unique heritage. The 1999 Anniversary Trans Am was the only serialized Trans Am produced and is already recognized as a serious collectible. This car is #1160 of 1600. The expert observer will note that there are many small cosmetic changes to the car. As I mentioned earlier, my goal was to win car shows with this TA. I added the retro gear shift knob, T-top standoffs, mirrored panels under the hood, carbon fiber air box (rare prototype piece), exhaust tips and other small cosmetic details, but for those who want nothing but original, this car comes with every piece needed to return it back to stock mode with the exception of the exhaust tips. However, the exhaust tips on the car are rare “Pypes” pieces and fit the rear valance panel perfectly – look much better than the factory tips! The car rides on a brand new set of 30th anniversary wheels, purchased from Pontiac OEM stock. The Firehawk Indy 500 tires and wheel centers are new as well. They’re perfect with less than 30 miles on them! I have the original wheels, centers and Goodyear tires (see photo) available and I may let these go with the car if the price is right. Look closely at the photos. I’ve noticed that when these cars come up for sale, few sellers show detailed photos of the engine compartment or wheel wells. Make no mistake; this car is a real anniversary car and comes complete with all the 30th anniversary pieces, including, the manuals, floor mats, cargo mat and shift knob. I’m selling the car to buy something I can enjoy and drive daily. Trades for an automatic Solstice or Thunderbird will be considered. My son is listing this car for me.
