This is a sharp Ford Ranger XLT SUPERCAB with 4-working doors. The engine is the popular 3.0L V-6 with automatic o/d tranny & 2-wheel drive. You can view the engine at idle in the picture of the instrument cluster, last pic. Good oil pressure and no warning lights on. The engine & tranny sound great with no noise, oil leaks or smoke.
This truck was totaled out by the previous owners Insurance Company and will be an easy rebuilder and satisfy whoever buys. State Farm gave this truck a value quote of $5250. before damage and N.A.D.A on-line quoted $5150. so with the damage being minor you will be pleased to know that the value of this truck will be more than what you will spend on the purchase and repair.
The damage is what can be seen with nothing major overlooked in the description. The hood & left fender can be repaired and parts will be: grille, left head & park lamp assembly and headlamp mounting panel, front bumper and lower valance, air deflector below valance is good. The radiator support is good as is all cooling, both radiator & condensor holding anti-freeze & freon and a/c is blowing cold. Pictures of frame & suspension will indicate no damage and the truck will drive straight down the road. Trailering is always recommended with salvage rebuilders because most states require repairs and registration before considered legal & road-worthy? Plus no left turn signals and the obvious damage will draw some attention.
The overall truck is in good condition and will be like the pictures indicate or better when picked up. The truck shows no sign of ever having a trailer ball installed. I look over what I sell on ebay good before listing and can only find normal wear & tear. No hail or prior damage and a very minor rust spot can be seen over left rear wheel opening. All glass is good with one rock chip on passenger side from normal wear & tear not the accident. I believe the previous owner was satisfied with the truck because you can see they put 3/4 of a tank of gas in just before the accident. The miles average out to about 12,000 a year, not bad!
I ran a Carfax before listing and it reported a good history and a "1-Owner" vehicle that was purchased on 6/2/98 by the owner.
The interior is equally as nice with good solid seats, not broke down or abused. It does look like the previous owner spilled white paint on the rear carpet at one time and it dried hard so a floor mat would be needed? Also you can see the center console latch is broke and held closed with a rubber band. The truck was owned by a non-smoker as the pictures indicate. The truck has tilt wheel, cruise control, cd-player and factory rear slider window for venelation that all work as they should. The reclining seats give much leg room and offered a very comfortable ride for the road test that I did before listing.
