This is my 88 Ford F-150 XL 4x2 truck. It may be somewhat dirty and ugly but it is a good running low mileage truck. It has the 5.8 Fuel injected engine with 122,482 original miles. The PA inspection is good through 8/2011, the last inspection passed easily with only needing rear shocks, so it should pass next inspection with nothing at all. The truck runs great, I started it last month for the 1st time in 2 months and all I had to do is reach in and turn the key and it fired right up. The truck has 2 gas tanks, but it does not switch properly so basically I use only the one tank. Steering: it steers and drives straight down the road as it should, Brakes: Brakes work well as they should. Tires: All are near new - at least 85-90% tread, Engine: Runs great, strong and fires right up - has no unusual noises, no smoke, it does have a valve cover leak that allows minor drippage onto the exhaust manifold that gets smelly and sometimes smokey under the hood when sitting idling for a long time but will be an easy fix. Ocassionally exhibits a semi-rough idle after running a long time - most likely could use a tune-up. Transmission: Shifts fine through the gears as it should with no unusual noises. Exterior: Paint is dull, chipped up etc.., minor rust around rear wheel wells as seen in the pics and a few dings, but not major, small area of rust which apparantley was repaired by previous owner behind drivers side door along outside of rocker, again very minimal. Surface rust spots where paint came off hood etc.., Drivers door has some rust around mirror mount but nowhere near rusting through.Underside has nothing more than normal surface rust and is in very good shape for a 88. Near new exhaust from muffler on back, Truck bed is solid in good condition with rubber bed liner. Cap is in good shape with no leaks but needs new gas lifters to hold the window up as it likes to fall and hit you on the back of the head. Tailgate works fine and has no major rust at all. Bumpers are both in good shape. Interior: Interior has the vinyl flooring and the flooring is dirty and ugly but in overall pretty good shape, the bucket seats are in overall very good shape with no tears and only some wear on the one part of the drivers seat and are comfortable. Rear vinyl seat is dirty but is also in good physical condition. Headliner has no tears or sags but has dirty spots. The dash is in very good condition with no cracking or fading. Cruise control works as it should, the am/fm stereo works fine but the display is very faded and its hard to tell what station you are on. I had the a/c converted to the newer style last year and it gets very cold. The heater blower works but does not deliver heat - not sure if its the heater core, heater control linkage or what. (One reason I dont drive it much in cold weather) The speedometer cable sometimes makes humming noise while driving but still works fine. Truck has hitch, never used it since I had the truck. I tried to cover everything I could think of about the truck. If you have any questions please ask.
