1972 Honda CB

Here is the best CB bike i have ever worked on or owned. I have owned over 30 CB and CL Hondas and this one was my prize possesion when i bought it. Here is the story, I had another one same color same year and a friend of mine says my grandfather has one of those in his garage, long story short i went and bought it and here it was, sat since 1983 (this was in 2008) and was in a climate controlled garage covered up. He had purchased it new Decemeber of 1972 (as best he could remember) at Wilkesboro Honda, the sticker is still on the chain guard! I purchased it and at the time i had 11 CB bikes so this one was earmarked for my father in law. I left it all original just rebuilt the carbs and got it running. My father in law rode it 8 miles in 2 years and gave it back to me this christmas time. Since then i have went through the bike with tons of new parts to make it the cream of the crop. Here is the jist of what is going on!!!! New parts: new battery clutch cable speedo cable front brake cable front and rear brake shoes tires and tubes front and rear i cleaned and coated the gas tank inside fuel filters fuel lines petcock spark plugs rebuilt the carbs freshly again all the paint, seat cover, chrome, and so forth are original to the bike. the bike has great compression and runs like a top! the exhaust tips at the end do show a bit of rust through around the back edge and it appears on one of them someone put some JB weld around the holes before i bought it in 2008. the pipes are great for a rider but NOS they are not. The bike is a dream to ride and i hate to see it go but i am down sizing and i have to many bikes and cars for that matter :-) Feel free to call me, 704-267-3949 Jeff, with any questions but honestly the pics show you what you are getting.
