General: This is a RHD Land Rover 88 (series III) with 56000 original miles. Two previous owners, mainly garage kept 2.25 Petrol LT95 four speed transmission. Soft Top and hard top are included as well as a galvanized roof rack. Everything works on this vehicle. Engine is reconditioned. The original low mileage engine has been gone through and to mention a few replacements, all new belts, hoses, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, plugs etc. You can eat out of this engine compartment .Everything in the engine compartment has been carefully checked, reconditioned or replaced and reinstalled. Electrical: Harness has been removed, repaired, rewrapped and reinstalled with all new turn signals, running lights and brake lights. Transmission: The LT 95 is a robust four speed gearbox with the transfer case built into the same enclosure (but they have different fluid reservoirs). One of the nice things about the LT95 was that there were a number of transfer case ratios available and you did not need to pull the box to change them. This particular transfer case is geared low for serious off-roading. Soft Top: The soft top is olive green in color and appears to be unused or lightly used with no tears or missing straps and rear plastic window with no discoloration or holes. That said, the canvas appears to have been stored a long time and has some mildew stains(A good scrubbing should take it off). The bow set as well as the side header pieces and windshield pieces are genuine Land Rover parts (Still has stickers on some) as well as the tailgate which is included and exhibit little or no wear. Hard Top: The hardtop and sides are original with the car as well as the back hatch door. Galvanized roof rack is correct and from Land Rover but age is indeterminate- They are all in very good shape. The sides are matching color to the vehicle body and the roof is white (has been repainted with single stage polyurethane enamel). Chassis: The all steel chassis has received a new rear and front galvanized cross member and has been stripped primed and painted in rustproof black tractor implementation paint. There are no deficiencies noted and the car was bought with a recent MOT inspection. New ProComp shocks have been installed all around. Body: The body has been carefully disassembled piece by piece, primed, painted in Dupont enamel, and reassembled. The bulkhead, firewall, and doors did not have any rust when we started. The door had received Ziebart treatment as shown in the plugs in the door by the original owner.(http://www.ziebart.com/protection/rust_protection/) .Door tophalves have been replaced and painted. The underside of the body as well as the floor of the cargo area have been carefully undercoated for years of rust free living. The landy has been completely repainted In its original color and all galvanized trimmings are in excellent shape. That said, close examination shows imperfections in the wings and tub most likely from its days as an estate gamekeeper's vehicle. The paint finish is new but will not win any prizes at a auto show. Interior: There are no tears or rips in the upholstery or dash, brand new deluxe front seats from Exmoor installed yesterday. Galvanized hatches and frames are in excellent condition. Dash has been professionally recovered and reinstalled. Accessories: Installed are wire brush guards on front and back lights and included is the handcrank, Series jack and lug nut wrench as well as spare tire mount on hatch door and in tub.This vehicle also listed locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. $500 is due within 48 of auction close via paypal and the rest is due in full 7 days maximum after auction date and must clear before pickup(cash, bankwire or bank cashier check).
