I am also selling the car locally, so I may close the auction before the end date. The car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. I have 4 cars now, and the wife says I need to sell one of them before I can buy another. This MASSIVE Cadillac takes up a good amount of parking space in the driveway. I bought the car in the fall, and drove it all winter. It is currently inspected, registered, and street legal. This car is in good driving condition, and you will be able to drive it home without issue. Huge 1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This car comes with the famous Cadillac 472 Motor, which puts out 375 hp, and an enormous 525 ft-lb. of torque... more than a modern Corvette! The engine runs strong, and can spin the rear wheels with ease. The transmission is the standard GM TH400 gearbox and toque converter. The automatic transmission seems to shift later than I would expect it do, but it does make it up and down through all the gears without a problem. The frame is straight and true, and does not appear to have even been in any accidents. The body has started rusting in several places. The floor pans, trunk bottom, and right rear quarter-panel have significant rust. I patched the floor and trunk up in the fall, so the car is safe to drive, but the floor pans and trunk are not original. The frame does not have any rust issues. The paint is blue, and appears to have been redone sometime in the last 10 years or so, as it has chipped away in some places, and the paint underneath is a lighter shade of blue or teal. The paint is still shiny (you can see in the close-up picture of the tire), but has chipped in a few places, and rust is starting to come through on the bottom of the fin on the rear quarter panel. The paint in the center of the massive hood has also started chipping, and the original paint is showing through (not bare metal, so no worries about rust there). There are no dents on the car. The car has not been smoked in. The vinyl top is white and really looks great over the blue body. It has NO rips or tears, and does not leak. This car features power steering, and power brakes, which both work great. It also has power windows and power door locks, which also both work just fine. The huge power windows still go up and down faster than the windows on my modern cars. I have replaced several items in the last few months to make the car very road worthy: New windshield and rear view mirror. New windshield wiper motor and windshield washer pump. New shocks (all 4). 4 new tires - I also have the 4 white wall tires that came on the car when I bought it. They have pretty good tread, but would not do well in a snowy Syracuse winter. These tires will be included. New weatherstripping on the seal between the front and rear windows. (There is no pillar between on this car, which makes windows-down cruising even more fun). New distributor cap, rotor, and points. New belts for the power steering, alternator, and air pump. New spark plugs, alternator, battery, and starter motor. You do not need to worry about this car stranding you anywhere. It ran all winter long, and started on even the coldest Syracuse mornings. You can't say that about many cars that are still around from 1969. I also replaced the driver side seatbelt, and put a cover over the front seat, as the vinyl seat material was breaking down, and the vinyl is very cold to sit on in the winter. The car has functional lap belts, and has working shoulder belts that tuck away into the roof liner. The heat blows hot. The A/C does not work, but I didn't put any time into diagnosing it since I was driving the car in the winter. The compressor and evaporator are still installed and connected, the system might just need a recharge. The car also comes with a full size spare tire. The AM/FM/Tape radio works fine, and I installed 4 new speakers in the fall. I am also including a shop manual, a full Cadillac assembly manual, and a complete set of new door weatherstripping that I never got around to installing. The car cruises well on the highway, and looks GREAT driving around town. This car will make an awesome summer cruiser, and it is reliable enough to drive daily. The price is very reasonable. Please message or email if you have any questions. The car is available to be viewed/inspected at any time if needed. Good Luck!
