1957 Ford Ranchero , This was my late grandfathers pride and joy. He was a mechanic all his life and really enjoy restoring the car.When he passed, it was willed to me. I really didn't want to get rid of it, but with the economy and the fact that I am in California and the car is in Colorado.I have not been able to have it shipped here due to financial hardships. So for the last 2 yrs it has been stored. It was garage keep for 8 years before that. The car was driven to where it is now. It runs great!!!! It does need a master cylinder and has a few minor things that could be repaired.It has a 351 cleveland.it's white in color and steel diamond plated bed. I was just able to get this so I thought I should pass it on.The car was reg. expired in Dec.2009.The bed was rusted so it has been cut out and replaced with Decko plate aluminum. The floor boards also have been replaced.It has approx.1/4 in. bondo left side from rear of door to fender well. Next ,is the minor stuff I stated above.You have to hold lever in park when starting. Left front brake hangs up. Speedometer was rebuilt, but it still jumps and isn't accurate.Right rear brake doesn't return,so sometimes causes the drum and wheel to heat up and that makes the brake light go on. The fuel float is new and needs to be repostioned to be accurate,access thur plate in bed.Wiring to rear turn signal needs work. Sometimes the electric fuel pump will flood the carburater.Door key will only operate drivers side door.New flex plate on transmission.Differential leaks at pinon and transmission leaks at shift linkage, not bad.
