Vehicle Detail
This car has a completely original metal Body, Frame, with split wishbone suspension, It has a 5" dropped chrome I beam front axle and a 60 ford 9 inch rear end, Every thing on the car body is originial except the fenders which are glass, I had metal fenders at first but they kept tearing out at where the fender supports bolted on so to solve that problem I went with glass. The drive train is a 1962 Chevy II Nova 167 1/2 cu.in. 4 cyl with an air cooled powerglide automatic transmission that came with the engine. The car has drum rear brakes with volvo front disc brakes. The stock radiator has been rebuilt and is in good condition, The head light are original with halogen inserts. The inside of the car is done in brown velvet material with dark brown vinyl accent. The steering column is a 73 Pontaic G/P locking/tilt/with key in it, The car still uses the stock gas tank so I built a console in the headliner to hold all the guages, switches, stereo componants and speakers, The bucket seats are out of a toyota and are fully reclining. The glass in the wing windows and the side glass in the doors and rear panels is actual tinted glass and not a film on the inside so it won't scratch when you roll them down. I tried to use as many original parts as I could when building this car and chromed as many of them as I could. There are a few things that need to be rebuilt on the car at this time because the car has been in storage for a period of time while I was living in an appartment. The last time I had it out it was vandelized by some kids, They cracked the windshield trying to pry it open to get in the car.The door locks stopped that from happening, So they stole the only thing they could get which was the wings and motor meter off of the radiator. The car does have a couple of problems that will need to be taken care of in order to put the car back on the road. The windshield frame ( which has the only rust on the car, rusting from the inside out) which is shown in the last two pictures with the blue tape indicating where the crack in the windshield is at and the windshield will need to be replaced, The brakes need to be rebuilt, I would rebuild the carborater and change all the fluids in the drive train, It will need a new battery. That is all the car needs to be put back on the road and the price I am asking for it reflects what it would cost to do all of this work.
