Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for your consideration today from my extensive collection is a Rare 1965 Ford Mustang convertible 289 4 speed restoration project all complete. Please read the complete description, a lot to be said about this "diamond in the rough"!! I've owned this for 6 years now and had plans for a full blown restoration but just have not had the time, to many projects! Maybe someone out there can devote the time and money that this classic needs and deserves,...this is a great investment car! No title, will issue a bill of sale of course. ... Maine does not issue titles for vehicles prior to 1995, sorry. I did the best I could to take close up pictures of the good and the bad areas. I think the pictures are pretty self explanatory, but I'll elaborate some anyways. The floor boards need work/replace and the same can be said about the trunk floor. The lower part of the rear quarters has rust and needs help too. The doors and hood are very solid with minor surface rust. The fenders are very good too with the exception of an exterior rust hole on the lower part of the passenger side. The shock towers under the hood are solid/no rot. The main unit body floor rails need attention,like the passenger side front in the curve area (see picture). The same could be said about the drivers side rear leaf spring area,...(what used to be the unit body floor/leaf spring rail) that attaches to the trunk floor. The 289 turns over by hand and is not stuck, shifts smooth and 100% free rolling chassis nothing froze up! The last time the 289 was started was 3++ years ago and burned no oil. I believe mileage is original at 110,100 but don't know for absolute. PLEASE NOTE,...this is a 1965! / not a 1966 as some think! The round gauge dash cluster was an option in 1965 known in its day as the "deluxe dash"...that became standard equipment in 1966. The 289/ Four-on-the-floor was optional too, not standard equipment. Lastly the mustang came optioned with the tri-bar (three bar) spinner hub caps that are in excellent shape!! Also, this is an original 289 4 speed car...NOT A CLONE,FAKE OR OTHER WISE!! This mustang has the 5 lug nut/stud wheel pattern from the factory that all V8 mustangs of 1965 had,...if the mustang came from the factory as a 6 cylinder it had the 4 lug nut/stud wheel pattern.
