General Description: Please understand that this is a used Jeep and it will be a fun project, or car to drive around town or great for a 2nd car. If you drive a long distance for work, or intend to go on road trips, this is probably not what you are looking for. I bought it as a second car / fixer upper and I simply don't have the time for it. It has alot of really nice features. The Full Steel Doors, 6 cyl. engine, Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning, Cloth Interior, CD player, Sound bar, Aluminum Wheels. Please read the description and look at the photos carefully. I have tried to capture all the good points and the bad points. Please look at the pictures on eBay and on Flickr. I even have uploaded a movie to Flickr of the Jeep running. Frame: I inspected the frame for holes and cracks and it appears solid but there is surface rust as shown in the pictures. Body and Paint: The body is solid but there is typical "Jeep Rust" as shown in the pictures. Please see the photos. (The Floor on the front driver and passenger sides have holes that could easily be patched with sheet metal.) The rear floors are really good. The fronts must have rusted from people getting in and out of the Jeep with wet shoes. Please also note that the jeep was originally painted green from the factory and it has been painted silver at some point. Engine / Transmission / Axles: The Engine runs very good and starts up and runs excellent. It does not smoke or make any unusual noise or leak any fluids. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts smooth without any issues. (I do not know if the engine or transmission are original or if they have been rebuilt or replaced) The 4wd works and the axles appear to be in 100% working order. Steering and Suspension: The only thing that I am aware of that is wrong with it mechanically is that the steering feels vague and it may need some steering linkage or steering gearbox work. It feels 100% normal up to about 45 mph, but feels vague over 50 mph. Brakes: The previous owner replaced the front brake rotors, pads, and brake lines last year. They seem to be in good working order but the Abs light is on. Interior: The seats, and dashboard are in excellent condition. The carpets are in poor condition with stains and discoloration. Top Condition: The top has a tear that was taped. The top is an OEM Jeep top, and the windows, frame and zippers are all in good shape. Just the top piece would need to be replaced and they are sold separately on eBay for less than $100. (A brand new top is only $249 on eBay) The frame is all there, so that is the important / expensive part. Other Items Available. I do have an OEM hard top for sale that I will sell separately for $950. It has a defroster and rear wiper. I will not negotiate the price of the Top, because I can use it for my other Jeep. Payment: A $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction is required. I will only accept cash upon pickup for the vehicle. Final payment must be made within 7 days of the auction close. Pick Up: If the vehicle is not picked up within 7 days I will charge $10 per day for storage.
