Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is this one owner, beautiful 1977 Ford Thunderbird in "near" mint condition. POWERTRAIN: This 77' T-Bird has the 6.6 L 351M/400 V8 motor (sticker still on valve cover verifies this along with VIN # info), which as you can tell is as clean as an original can be. Total displacement is 400 C.I. Original gas mileage estimate is city/highway 13/18 mpg and I would say that 17-18 mpg is pretty common even around town, if you drive conservatively. With this auction you will also get all paper work (Owner’s manual, Undercoating verification at time of purchase in 1977, sales receipts for any work done most recently with exception of some oil changes) and 3 sets (ignition and door key) of keys. Other documented scheduled maintenance includes but is not limited to: Chassis lube, air filter and oil change at 53,827 miles. All new brake system (rotors and pads) were installed along with an alignment on 07/10. This vehicle has brand new GOODYEAR RS-A tires all round with 200 miles (54,825 miles) on them, at the same time the carburetor had been rebuilt along with an oil/filter change, new transmission gasket filter flush/fill, coolant temp sensor, fuel pump, and overall inspection ($1150). EXTERIOR: This car has always been stored in a heated garage and has been driven in the winter very little, if ever. The chrome and paint are next to perfect. The paint job is original with the red pin strip, the only blemishes are two bubbles, both behind the rear wheels (one each side, see pictures) located on the lower portion of the rear quarter panels and a few small chips inside the head light covers, most likely from pebbles and such. One other blemish is on the passenger side front chrome wheel accents where it was scratched backing out of the garage. All blemishes are only noticeable if you’re really close. INTERIOR: The interior of the car is in great condition with exception to some dinginess or could just be the gray coloring, call me crazy cause to everyone else it is clean. I'm a little picky but have never had the interior scrubbed. Rear seats are also in great condition. The stereo system is super, the best sounding car stereo system from the 70's I ever heard. It has a Marantz stereo system with amp, equalizer and cricket speakers which produce a rich, crisp sound. Heater and defrosters work great. It still has all four original floor mats which are in great shape. No cracking of the dash or steering wheel, nothing. This model has manual windows and door locks which are all in great working order. Tilt wheel works along with the cruise control located on steering wheel. Head liner is intact and does not sag anywhere with little to no stains (see issues for any interior issues) ISSUES: Not in any order there is: The air conditioning does not work, it needs to be converted to the newer system. The temperature gauge does not work although the new coolant temp sensor was replaced (?). There is one small burn in the passenger seat from an early 80's teenager (see pics), drivers side visor does not attach. It hangs fine and does not interfere with driving but just want to be thorough and lastly there is a small slight stain on the driver’s side head liner, right near the corner of the door(?, again see pics). This is an awesome car in need of a good home! As stated in shipping instructions: Local Pick-ups and/or arrangements can be made to accommodate your needs with a possible fee! Deposit of US $1,000.00 within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 3 days of auction close. Car will be held for one week after receiving payment in full (day #4) and then a $25 fee will be assisted for everyday after this time (total of 11 days of auction close). Buy bidding on this 1977 Ford Thunderbird (VIN# 7G87S314181), you so state and verify your understanding of the conditions stated above, presented by the seller. THERE IS NO RESERVE, THIS CAR HAS TO GO! HAPPY BIDDING!
