Fresh California Barn find. 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, Smokey and the Bandit. This car is a real 83,760 mile car, according to the previous owner. It is finished in black with tan interior. It still sports the gold Honeycomb wheels. It has t-tops and the car just screams. The car is complete and has been in the barn for over eleven years. It fires up with one turn of the key. It still has the original four exhaust tips. Two on each side in the rear. The paint is decent for it's age. I drove this today and it brought back memories of my youth. I will be 48 next month and used to cruise my buddy's Trans Am down the strip looking for someone to race. Bring back more memories of your own youth with this trip down memory lane. It also has power windows which were an added option along with the t-tops. The front urethane bumper has some damage(see photo) and the rear urethane bumper does also(see photo). This was a common occurrance back in the day. My buddy's mom even closed the garage door on his when he parked too close to the door once. The interior is not ripped or torn. The dash has small cracks. The power windows are slow to go up but go down with ease. The door panels are nice. The dash face is also nice. The tach works, speedometer works, gauges work with exception of oil pressure gauge, may be a sender. This is a great car to drive or restore. It has a mean rumble and idles great(see youtube clip).
