1982 Mercedes Benz 300 TDT Turbo Diesel Wagon 3.0 Liter OHC 5-Cylinder Turbocharged Diesel Midnight Blue Exterior/Blue MB Tex Interior 184,013 Loving Miles , This is a documented 2 Owner car, originally owned by a CT Senator. It is in absolute excellent condition, and has driven 14,000 miles in the last year alone. BODY, the body is in great shape all the way around, the frame and underpinnings all are in excellent shape. The paint is all original as well as the red painted pin stripe. It has never been in an accident and is straight and true, no paint or body work. The hood has typical stone chips but far less than one would expect for a vintage car like this. ENGINE, the engine starts and idles smoothly with tons of power once boost builds. It has gotten oil changes and fuel filter changes every 3500 mi. The engine mounts were recently replaced by Mercedes of Sarasota, the valves adjusted and primary and secondary fuel filters changed within the last 2000mi. The mechanic told me that this engine is good for 500,000mi before a rebuild is necessary. INTERIOR, The interior of the car also is in excellent shape and all original. The dash does not have any cracks and all the woodgrain is intact,uncracked, and in fine shape. Carpets show like new, the seats still have spring, and the headliner is like new. DRIVING, I recently drove the car to the Northeast from FLA where it spent its winters. The car eagerly drives 85+ on the highway with no shakes, or shimmys. Recent maintenance work completed.... Fuel filters, oil change, new battery, valve adjustment, new glow plugs, the rims were bead blasted and powdercoated, new front rotors and pads, new radiator. I would drive the car to California as it is right now...just add fuel.
