The need for speed is here with this 1985 T-Top mustang GT with a 1990 5.0 bored .30 over with a 125 shot of nitrous (what ford recomends on factory 5.0) Producing 400hp on gas and 550hp with the nitrous and cool can full of ice. Blow away Corvettes, Porsches or anything else that would like to try I can outrun my buddies raptor 660 between light poles and will outrun my friend andrews new 2011 5.0 without nos. With a Ford c4 tranny with kevlar bands and a hurst 3 speed quickshifter and a ford 9 inch rear with posi-track 1:1 ratio and a quickspool and koni drag suspension they dont stand a chance. This car is built for speed and best of all its street legal and is drag ready you can drive this car too and from the drag track and gets about 17 mpg with 400hp thats pretty good for a V8. The 1990 5.0 is also the strongest 5.0 block ever made even stronger then the 2010 5.0 block because this block was made with a higher nickle content then any other year thus making it stronger and able to withstand more punishment and higher hp. The body has 115,000 miles on it pretty low for a 85 the rebuilt 5.0 has about 35,000 miles on it the tranny has about 15,000 on it. the tranny has kevlar bands and can hold up too 600 ft pounds of torque. Like the guy before me that built the car i only run royal purple oil and tranny fluid in this car it runs strong and has no problems mechanically for 500 bucks you could have a perfect car could prob use a paint job i was going to do it just didnt have the cash to get a nice one the paint on it now is fine you could touch it up and make it look like new for like 300 bucks it has a few spots on the bumper and some rock chips by the back wheels it up too the winner also still has power steering for street purposes no ac or smog pump the car dosent leak a drop of oil you can set it on ur carport for a week move it and wont find a drop of oil on the ground and these t-tops are notoruis for leaking mine wont leak a drop ill take em out and put em back in and spray water on the top of the car to show you. Great father son restoration project thats pretty much done. And with the koni suspension I will guarantee this will be the smoothest riding drag car you have ever been in. The Bad The hood came up on the car at aprox 20 miles an hour and done all this damage can all be fixed for under $500 less if u do it yourself. I priced everything in VA may be more or less depending on where you live. * Needs new windshield $200 and thats with install * Small damage to quarter panel $200 to be repaired by body shop * Needs 2 new wiper arms $15 Total = $415 I will include a brand new cowl vent grill with car i paid $80 for it will come in box also there is small damage to the back of the cowl hood near window where it flew up can be repaired or replaced has chrome hood hinges that are still good not damaged hood still goes up and down just fine and locks into hood pins fine. Both racing seats are welded into upright position a req for the drag track where i live will move fowards and backwards though seats are in great shape with no damage back seats have no damage what so ever even under flag its perfect just was a pain getting it in there so didnt want to take it out to get the pics i promise you they are perfect.This is a awsome buy 10 to15,000 plus countless man hours have been put in this car get it for thousands less i promise you this ford will not dissapoint. NOTE:: It runs 11 sec quarters at about 127mph consistintently this car is not beat on only raced at the track a couple of times most of the milage is road milage on the motor. Nos was only shot a couple of times maby 5 times at the most iv only shot it once since iv owned the car. I have also owned this car for almost a year cuz i was payin it off through the lein place i borrowed the money from to buy it so iv only owned owned the car title in hand for about a month but have had it for about a year now.
