Audi A6 Quattro Avant Station Wagon This car runs and drives nice and smooth, transmission shifts excellent. Ride Quality, Steering, Handling, Brakes all very nice. It is a project car that needs some sprucing up and a few things to be nice for the long term. All major components seem fine. Owner states timing belt was done in past 30,000 miles, and it looks fresh. Smooth acceleration all the way up to 100mph, holds road nice, no vibrations, no squeeks, no rattles, nice and tight. This car does have some cosmetic issues: Scratches in rear left door Broken front right headlight frame Bent front hood (slightly) on right front corner of hood (from parking garage tap into the wall incident (not an accident on the road)) Moulding on rear lip of front right door peeling back slightly Windshield has crack in upper right corner Small tear in Passenger seat bottom (see pic) This car also has some mechanical issues: Small Oil drip from rear of right upper valve cover area. Alternator works inconsistent. Seems to hold charge when driving without A/C and lights, but does not hold charge for more than an hour if lights and A/C are on together. Check Engine Light is on, and OBD says O2 sensor needs replacement. Car cannot pass CA smog test unless this is repaired (unless you have someone that will do it for you)The car will most likely blow clean, as we pre-tested it and it had good numbers, but Smog shop would not do official test with the light on. This car is great for someone with some time and know-how. It was left by my friends with me because they have nowhere to store it, so it is here in my driveway until sold off. They did not have time or desire to repair and restore the car since and just have decided to sell the car AS-IS. They are not mechanically inclined, but have kept the car maintained to all requirements as per the specs from Audi. Recent oil change and service completed, sticker is on windshield. Thus, this is an AS-IS sale. Car can be seen, inspected, and I can take you for a ride locally. But car should be towed or shipped due to alternator.
