THIS IS A RELISTING OF AN EARLIER AUCTION THAT WAS ERRONEOUSLY CANCELLED BY EBAY. THERE WAS A CONFLICT BETWEEN OUR STATEMENTS AND INCORRECT DATA FROM AUTOCHECK SO EBAY PULLED THE AUCTION PENDING FURTHER INFO. AN APPEAL WAS MADE TO AUTOCHECK, THEY AGREED THEIR DATA WAS INCORRECT AND UPDATED THEIR RECORDS, AND NOW WE ARE FREE TO RELIST. Up for auction is a 1987 naturally aspirated Porsche 944 with automatic transmission and black leather interior. We have owned this car since 2000 and the car has always run reliably for us. We have found ourselves driving it less and less over the years and look to cut back a bit. Due to cosmetic issues, the car can be used as-is as a reliable daily driver, can be a basis for a project, or can be used for parts. All 4 tires (Yokohama Avid Touring-S) are brand new, purchased in summer 2010 with only about 250 miles since then. A used full size tire will be included unmounted, as well as the inflatable spare in the trunk. No known rust issues. Carpets are in very good condition, trunk is slightly faded. Front and rear leather seats are in pretty good shape, only a couple of 1 inch busted seams on passenger side that can probably be repaired by an upholstery shop. Virginia registration/title is current and inspection sticker is valid through June 2011. Issues/Inconveniences: - Odometer reads 100,126, however it stopped about 2,500 miles ago. - Passenger side rear fender was hit in parking lot and has a large dent. - Nose panel has a crimp in it. - Other small dings from parking lots and stones. - Paint is worn down to base coat in some areas. - Gaskets/seals on windows and sunroof should probably be replaced. Have cracked and discolored due to age. - Headliner is a bit out of shape. - Dashboard is cracked in numerous locations and some accessories (cigarette lighter) have come disconnected. - Gauges are readable at night, but backlight has dimmed. - Blaupunkt radio is there but does not work. - A/C slowly died out over the years, and should just need a recharge. Heat works just fine. - Hood needs struts replaced, but hatchback struts were just replaced. - Rear window defroster needs rewired. - Rear cargo cover is included, but roller is sprung. Car can be picked up in the Short Pump area of Richmond, Virginia, zip code 23233. Upon auction close, a $500 deposit is due within 48 hours, remainder is due within 7 days. Acceptable forms of payment include Cash, Check, Paypal, or USPS Money Order. If a check is used, vehicle will be held by us until payment clears our bank.
