Vehicle Detail
Ford only produced 3,632 Ranchero GT's in 1971, so they definitely aren't as common as other cars of it's era. Up for for auction. my 1971 Ford Ranchero GT. H code, 351 2V, automatic, Wimbledon White with Red and Black interior. It was ordered with: Black vinyl roof, 351 2V ,C4 Cruiseomatic trans, hidden headlights, g70 whitewall tires, visibility group, power steering, power front disc brakes, bumper guards, air conditioning, AM radio, body side moulding, Tinted Glass remote driver's side mirror, and styled steel wheels. It was bulit in Atlanta and delivered to Lewis Byars Ford in Granbury Texas. At some point after that, the Ranchero made it's way to sunny California, where it still proudly and somewhat defiantly rolls down the road 40 years later. The car itself is fun to drive. it starts, drives smooth and straight, no brake noise, stops just fine, lights, horn, and signals all work. It has had a recent oil/filter change, new hoses, fan belt, fuel pump, battery, starter, carb recently rebuilt, and alternator. It's tuned and running well, and it fires right up. . Mechanically things are pretty sound, It has a non numbers 351 Windsor. Starts right up and runs good, shifts well. The suspension is good, rides smooth. Brakes are good . It came optioned with front disc brakes. The car does still have the factory hideaway headlights, I don't know how to make them function (vacuum system) but everything appears to be there. The Nada price index on this car is good: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1971/Ford/Ranchero-GT/Pickup/Values Happy bidding
