1983 MERCEDES-BENZ 300D TURBO DIESEL, W123 SEDAN 3.0 Liter 5 Cylinder TURBO DIESEL ENGINE 4 Door Sedan with large electric operated SUNROOF Very Good strong running condition. Only 214,404 original miles on it, very well kept by previous owner, regular maintenance performed, and this car is FAST. I picked up this Mercedes-Benz Turbo Diesel as part of a trade. I wasn't exactly sure I wanted to do to it, but, here's the good: This car is FAST. Turbo comes on smooth and strong. All accessories working including the infamous vacuum operated power door locks! No kidding; all four doors AND trunk work, flawlessly. Power windows, power stearing, power brakes, Automatic Climate Control (see note below - AC Compressor is disconnected at present), cruise control works fine, New PA State Inspection, Engine is clean and strong, with no known issues. Has electric block heater for when cold (below freezing - USE it!) Transmission is excellent and shifts quickly and smoothly. Just had the transmission serviced with a full flush, new fluid, and filter. New fuel filter(s), Brand new Perrelli P4 tires all around (4). New glow plugs, air filter, New battery, Recent oil and filter change, and full flush of the cooling system, including a new thermostat and water pump. All work done done within the past month. All original interior (please see pictures) with original Becker Europa Stereo AM/FM Cassette deck. Driver's side seat is worn; other seating in very good shape. Small straight cracks on top of dashboard and some minor wear and tear throughout interior, but, overall - interior is in very good shape for its age. Comes with original owner's manual and documentation. This car made a drive back from Boston, MA, where I picked it up, and has been cruising several times back and forth between Scranton, PA and New York City, and New Jersey and Philadelphia areas without issues. It really is a blast to drive. Only know issues is that the AC Compressor was disconnected by previous owner. I checked pricing, and Autozone, Advance Auto both have a compressor for right around 120 bucks. Best way to go. There is one small bb type ding in the windshield, however, it was not enough to interfere with a PA State inspection, so it's a minor ding. Very minor surface bubbles from minimal rust under.. Easy fix. Usual stuff. Looks to be a very good repaint job at one point in time, but, paint is in very good shape and shines nice. chrome is very good as well. Strong fast car, and effortlessly cruises at above legal highway speed all day long. I'd feel comfortable taking it coast to coast without concern.. Probably should mention that it gets about 32 MPG average - not too darn shabby All the usual eBay stuff apply. NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDING. I will NOT ship this car.
