Up for auction is a 1978 Ford Granada. This vehicle is a great vintage automobile with plenty of potential. The body is in decent condition for a 33 year old car. The interior is in good condition with only the tear in the driver side seat. The item that makes this car so special is that it has a factory standard shift transmission. Due to the car sitting for a long period of time the fuel tank has been replaced. Unfortunately, the 'O' ring seal and sending unit assembly will still have a be replaced as it leaks. The engine will start and run fine. However, I cannot guarantee that it will not smoke due to the fact that it has sat for a while. Because the fuel filter clogged up due to the dirty tank we weren't able to give this car a thorough engine condition assessment. My son bought this car with initial plans to drive it simply to work. Then, as time permitted, to get it fully restored. Unfortunaly, to get this car in running condition has required more time than he has available to him at the present. The air conditioning has been completely removed from the car. The steering shaft rubber coupling doughnut will have to be replaced. It will be necessary for this automobile to be shipped either trailer or motor carrier. Do not plan on driving this car to your destination. Car is sold 'AS IS'. No exceptions.
