1961 Volkswagen Classic beetle ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA BLACK LICENSE PLATE CAR 3rd OWNER CAR with all floor pan - chassis - engine numbers matching !! AUGUST 1960 CAR :CHASSIS-FLOOR PAN : # 3303055ENGINE : # 5098637 You are looking at a great example of an all original beetle with a gorgeous black exterior look and very clean interior. This Beetle has been well maintained over his 50 years of life by only 3 owners. It is a great experience to drive this carwith original from factory 1200cc /40hp engine and 6 volt electrical system,both in superb working condition and cosmetically beautiful. YOU HAVE FOUND IT !!! ~ EVERYTHING WORKS ON THIS CAR ~ It is quite hard to find a classic car in original/stock condition, most of the cars for sale up there have been modified by updating the electrical system to 12 volts, cutting speaker holes into the body, dashes been cut/modified, suspension lowered, front or back incorrect/aftermarket aprons replaced meaning previous accidents. Odometer shows 60k miles. This is a 3rd owner car and actual miles are 160,000. Everywhere I go with this bug gets many nice compliments or thumbs up while driving, a REAL EYE CATCHER!! PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING, I'LL TRY TO DESCRIBE THE CAR TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE : ENGINE / TRANSMISSION / CLUTCH:- Original from factory 1200 cc / 40 hp dated Aug.1960. - Excellent running condition. - Original 6 volt system working great. - Transaxle rebuilt about 2 years ago, it shifts perfect with no gear pop-outs or other problems. - No clutch issues. BRAKES AND SUSPENSION: - Brand new hard/soft brake lines. - Brake system in very good working condition. - Suspension has never been lowered or modified. INTERIOR: - Brand new Wolfsburg West gray with white piping seat upholstery. - Two tone gray-white door panels. - OG gray carpet in great looking condition. - New Wolfsburg West black rubber floor mats. - OG extra clean white sun visors. - Headliner with typical stains and disjointed at two of the crossing sewed lines (shown in pictures), headliner still looks decent but could use a replacement. - OG Blaukpunt radio with WOLFSBURG script at front (not working). - 2 front seat belts. - Locking door system in working condition both sides. - WILL NEED FLOOR PAN / BATTERY AREA TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. - WINDOW RUBBER WORN OUT AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. - NO E-BRAKE CABLE. ELECTRICAL: - Original 6 volt electrical system in great condition (No signs of cables been replaced or modified, clean untouched wiring harness.) - Turn signals, headlights, back and stop lights & horn in working condition. - Mini bulbs inside headlights do not work. - Front electrical under hood still has what I imagine is a black pad installed by the dealer to protect the wiring, this pad has never been removed meaning no electrical problems ever!! - All cables under trunk and engine are in the right place. EXTERIOR: - Both doors, hood and engine lid close and fit perfect. - No signs of front or back aprons been replaced or repaired, this car has never been in an accident. - Car re-painted years ago in Original Black color that came with the car from factory, interior still shows black original paint. Paint looks awesome and very shiny. -OG windows with VW's sekurit logos. - Windshield is not OG. - OG HELLA headlight housings with aftermarket lenses. - Driver side taillight red lense is cracked. - Front and back tires with 50-60 % life remaining. NO SPARE TIRE. - 4 Original VW logo hubcaps (not cheap reproductions). - Front reproduction bumper. - OG back bumper. - Working wipers. - Car comes with front and back black-yellow license plates. - Heather channels and rocker panels are RUST FREE but floor pan @ battery area has rust issues and needs replacement or repair.
