SHOW CAR & TROPHY WINNER! This car is as original as it gets. Besides the rebuilt engine/tranny, the tires, and the radio, this car is as it was when it left the assembly line 45 years ago. 5,000 miles on a rebuilt super clean 289, it's the classic "Grandma had it to go up to the store and back" story, except Grandma had it in a garage in Pheonix, AZ where salt doesn't exist. It was than sold at a Barrett Jackson auction ten years ago by the dealer who I bought it from in May, 2009. The exterior finish is the original Pony White lacquer. There isn't a hint of rust anywhere on the car. The interior is Arcadian Blue. Leather/Pleather/Cloth seats, front and back are both in beautiful shape. The only bit of wear on the car is in the back where the windshield meets the corner upholstery where there seems to be minor rain damage (both sides shown in pictures). Other than that, she's super clean. In the trunk there is the original trunk lining with matching jack bag (and jack) and spare tire cover. You can see a brand new compressor also. That belongs to the A/C unit located under the radio and heat. Because the Mustangs were still coming out on the 1/2 year, Ford didn't have time to install the actual A/C compressor, just the interior unit. The original owner never had it installed, it's been sitting in the trunk for over 40 years! This A/C has never been used. It's literally brand new. Fortunately, my wife is pregnant and we are expecting our first child in June! Unfortunately, that means bye bye Mustang. I would love her to go to someone who can really appreciate how rare she is. There are a lot of Mustangs driving around, but none of them are as original and well kept as this one. Since I've owned the car, I've had it in a garage and took very good care of it. It is completely maintained and ready to take on a road trip!
