Vehicle Detail
This is a 2 adult-owner, 1993 5.0 LX coupe in its original color combo of coral reef blue & black interior with 5-speed. I bought the car from the original owner and have owned it for at least 10 years. It has been garage kept since and has 68,100 total miles. Body and interior are all original except for the fiberglass hood (inside of hood finished & painted also), aluminum pedals, leather SVO shifter knob, Alpine stereo & CD changer (circa '93), and fuel press gauge. The passenger & back seats were hardly ever used, original radio will come with the car, as will a full cover & any other misc parts I still have. The car has never had a power adder (no nitrous or forced induction), has not been raced, and has the following mods (for which I have all receipts): - Edelbrock Performer 5.0 aluminum heads w/ Ford Racing 1.6 roller rockers - GT-40 tubular intake w/ 70mm throttle body & cold air kit. - Ford Racing E-303 cam, Ford Racing 24 lb hr injectors, 1993 Cobra computer & mass air sensor, Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator & 255 lph fuel pump. - MAC ceramic coated long tube headers, Bassani stainless X-pipe (hollowed cats), Spintech pro-shootout mufflers & stainless tailpipes (all 2 ½”). - New Optima red battery (Jan ‘11), aluminum 2-row radiator, MSD cap/rotor, Ford Racing 9mm plug wires, Accel coil. - Stock T-5 tranny, Hurst Pro-Comp shifter, Metco driveshaft loop, Auburn Pro rear diff, Ford Racing 3.55 gear, Superior 31-spline axles & MAC rear end girdle. - Baer 12” brakes w/ cross-drilled/slotted rotors w/ rear disc conversion and front to rear proportioning valve, Eibach progressive rate springs, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates, D&D tubular rear control arms, & sub-frame connectors. - 17x9 Steeda Ultra-lite wheels (painted gunmetal gray), 5-lug conversion, 245 front/275 rear Hankook performance tires (at least 90% tread remaining). - Headlights & marker lights all replaced with new Ford parts, and tinted windows (20% side, 5% rear & rear quarters). Everything on the car works, including the AC, power lumbar in the seats, and even the ashtray cover – except for the catalytic converters (again, they are hollow, just present for looks) and the power door locks (I removed the actuators – tired of replacing them). There may be parts that I’ve forgotten about, but I have all receipts. While I’d give the interior an easy 9 out of 10, I’d give the exterior a 7-8 out of 10 due to the paint being 18 years old and the typical wear (road chips, minor scratches, etc). No dents, all trim is original, and paint on front end & trunk was blended to match when hood was replaced. Only accident I know of involved the right rear fender – I was backed into in a hospital parking lot in 2005; minimal repairs were necessary. This is a well cared for car that I don’t need to get rid of; I simply lost interest in keeping it. While extremely reliable and 100% mechanically sound (would drive anywhere/any distance) the car is sold as is with no guarantee or warranties implied. The car is also for sale locally in Orlando, FL, so I reserve the right to end the auction early without liability. Please do not bid or make an offer if you are not serious or financially able to purchase the car. Note - this is an 18 year old vehicle, so I’m not sure if a bank would offer financing for the reserve ($8000.00). Payment must be made by cash in person, certified check, or funds transfer prior to buyer departing with the car. We can discuss payment/pickup options prior to the finalized sale. While I can assist with delivery in the south east/Florida area, I prefer buyer inspection & pickup. If shipping is required, I will assist upon payment, but the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Send me any questions you may have. Good luck bidding...
