Up for sale, is a 1983 AMC Concord DL Wagon. This is a really nice find. I picked it up in the fall to add to my collection. I need to sell one of my toys and this is the most recent, so I don't have much attachment to it. I only drove it a few times in the fall before it snowed. The main issues it has is the Vacuum system. Someone had no idea what they were doing when replacing the carburater and installed vacuum wrong. Hence the car has a rough idle when warm and kills when warm. Besides that the car seemed to run and handle great. Has newer tires, shocks, and breaks (so I was told). I'll do my best to describe it and please ask any question. I am sad to let this one go, it has a lot of potential for a original show car at AMC events. No restoration required, just TLC. This car has the factory wheels and would look good with some white raised letter tires. :) Been garage kept. Buyer would need to trailer it home, unless live locally. I reserve the right to close the auction early, selling car locally as well. Background : Local car since new. Whoever owned it seemed to take care of it. The overall condition is very nice consider its age. Its the type of car that doesn't need to be "Restored" but just needs some work and love. Body: The body is very clean, Some small surface rust is just starting on the lower panels. The car has the factory "Rusty Jones" coating. The chrome trim is in excellent shape. The aluminum bumpers are strait and free of dents. The under side of the car looks clean. Interior: The interior is fitted out in the DL package. Which means it has the 12oz carpet and other fancy stuff for its time. You can relax in it all day. Every thing is in super shape and seems to be all there. The headliner will need to be re-glued. No tears in the seats. Does not smell like smoke! Drive train: This car has the 258 strait 6 cyl engine. It sounds strong and is clean. Someone installed a new carburetor in 2004, but had no idea about vacuum lines. So all the vacuum lines need to be gone through. Will not ship this vehicle.
