VERY RARE NASH AIRFLYTE STATESMAN SUPER EXTREMELY RARE 2 DOOR ORIGINAL FLATHEAD 6 CYLINDER, 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH OVERDRIVE VERY LITTLE RUST 99% COMPLETE - MISSING 1 PIECE OF CHROME, A HUBCAP, AND A RADIO ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE AIRFLYTES BEING OFFERED FOR SALE *** NO RESERVE*** Here is an incredible opportunity to buy the famous "BATHTUB". Whether you want to restore it back to original, or make a killer street rod or rat rod out of it, you can't go wrong. With restored models bringing over $30k, it's like money in the bank. If you Google the 1950 models, you will see that most offered are stripped out shells missing all of the good stuff, or they are asking a fortune for them. Also, you will see very few 2 door cars. Take a peek at the interior...look at the famous gauge cluster mounted on the steering column. It's all there and complete. Look at the dashboard, its amazing. The seats aren't all ripped up, and the frames are in great shape. The original headliner, while in sad shape, is mostly there, along with the visors, moilding, door panels, all of the glass, door handles, and window cranks, etc. For those of you that didn't know, the front seats fold flat, and meet up against the rear seat, making a huge bed out of it all. Why can't cars today do that? Now look at the engine compartment --- complete with all wiring, belt, hoses, data plates, lines, fittings, and clamps. It's a true barn find. Sadly, I haven't gotten the trunk open, so it's hard to say what's in there. If there's money, gold or jewels, it doesn't go with the car. Look how rust-free the body is...it's incredible. Only 1 quarter-sized hole below the windshield. The floors have some spots here and there, but nothing like you would expect for a 61 year old car. All of the glass is there, and only 1 piece is cracked. Almost all of the chrome is there, and 3 of the 4 hubcaps. The shifter linkage still operates the transmission, and the clutch pedal still engages and disengages the clutch. We haven't tried to turn the engine over, but may get brave during the auction and give it a try. Mainly, it's a rare, complete car. It's so ugly it's beautiful. The possibilities are endless. Best of all --- it's NO RESERVE. If you are looking for a project worth fixing, and have a little time and money on your hands...here you go. Call me if you have any questions or need additional pictures or information. I took photos of the 3 data plates that I found. That should help the smart people a lot. If you're dumb about these cars like I am, don't feel bad about asking anything. I won't tell anyone. Bill --- 941-740-2277 or email me at northshorebill@aol.com. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IN THE EVENT ONE OF THE 102 (AS OF RIGHT NOW) WATCHERS MAKES ME AN OFFER I CAN'T PASS UP. I MAY EXERCISE THAT OPTION UNTIL A BID IS PLACED. ONCE A BID IS PLACED, I WILL LET THE AUCTION RUN IT'S COURSE IN ALL FAIRNESS TO THE WATCHERS AND POTENTIAL BIDDERSOn Mar-08-11 at 14:49:11 PST, seller added the following information: I added a picture of a beautiful street rod version of a 50 Nash 2 door. Look how amazing it is! A big thanks to Tony Stotz for sending me a photo of his awesome car, and for offering up extra pieces of chrome and other goodies. If you are the winning bidder, I will put you in touch with him so you will have a complete car. Thanks again TonyOn Mar-10-11 at 11:36:45 PST, seller added the following information: OK, got the trunk open yesterday, but no bags of money or gold bars. The missing hubcap was in there, so it wasn't a total waste. Also, there is a box of parts in there---it looks like old manual transmission parts. If I were to wager a guess, I would say someone rebuilt the transmission at some point in it's life. Now I could be way off base...and maybe it's just a box of old parts. Who knows, but I wanted to let everyone know what I found in there. If you have any additional questions, just let me know. Thanks, Bill On Mar-11-11 at 11:43:01 PST, seller added the following information: OK...Today's update. I'm getting a lot of trade offers, but sadly, I can't do that with a "No Reserve" auction. It will sell to the highest bidder. There have been over 2000 page views, and it currently has 188 watchers. I don't know how it will end. All I can say is if you're a serious buyer and you need more information, please don't wait to the last minute. I'm willing to help all I can, and the car can stay here for free for up to a month, so I'm trying. Please call, text or email. Don't miss out on a rare car.
