Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice R32 but it has a salvage title. It says on the Virginia Title "Salvage Rebuilt". I bought it four years ago in Michigan and had it titled here. The car was hit lightly in the front but did deploy airbags. I bought the car with 28,200 miles on it and it now has 72,400. The photos are from when I last tried to sell it about two years ago when it had 65,000 miles on it, but it still looks exactly the same. The first buyer was from Afganistan or similar Arabian nation and didn't follow through and the second buyer was from Virginia but was young and counting on getting a parent co-signed car loan but was still paying on a truck. Shortly after, the car I bought to replace it was totalled by a Yukon running a light so the VW was put back in sevice for a bit. Mostly it is just always in a warehouse. Please do not bid on this car unless you are from the U.S. and have the money. Salvage title cars are hard to get loans on. The car has certain needs that I am happy to fix, any or all of, here in Waynesboro, Virginia. Probably the easiest is that the exhaust rattles. A google search makes me think it is a washer/bolt above the exhaust. Then the front tires, if you accelerate, rub the inner plastic front wheel wells because they are eaten through and flapping a bit from the larger tires I once had on it. A minor body shop activity. Lastly the hood and fenders have paint chips and could be repainted. This is due to the less-than-factory hardness and thickness of the repaint of the front end 44,000 miles ago. We have the best body shop here in Waynesboro, Va and I am comparing to Greater D.C. area shops that have painted expensive Audi's and a 911 twin turbo I had. If you want it delivered fixed to near perfect, we will have those repairs made, at actual cost, added to the purchase, after the base purchase bid is paid. We have changed the oil with synthetic and done other minor service and just put new correctly sized tires on it. It had one size bigger profile tires that I put on to ease certain highway bumps on my commute. It has never needed, and is not now in need of, clutch, wheel bearings, brake rotors and other components evidencing hard use. I am 50 and drove it 99% on the higway and have had many very fast cars so wasn't compelled to wear the car out. The interior is perfect with no bolster wear, animals or smoke. The car runs perfectly except the previously described exhaust rattle and front tire rub. It gets 28 MPG highway. If you can deal with the salvage title and the improvement needs, it is MUCH more R32 than the 100,000 mile rode-hard alternatives that are out there that will cost $$$$$ to keep on the road.
