I don't know about the history of the car because the guy I bought it from only had it for a short while too. It's a sweet cruiser and runs great. Do a restoration and have yourself a $100,000. beauty or just drive it as is and enjoy the ride.I live in Los Angeles and drive it up to Santa Barbera or down to San Diego often during the summer, without a problem. Drivetrain:Not sure if its the original 318 or if someone put a 340 in it.Strong engine that sounds great and starts right up everytime. Fixed all the oil leaks with all new oil seals & gaskets.Rebuilt AlternatorNew Voltage RegulatorNew Starter RelayNew ThermostatNew Distributor RotorNew Water PumpNew water HosesNew Timing ChainNew Freeze PlugsNew Transmission MountGas tank flushed and resealedReplaced rear Brake Shoes, adjustors, Springs, and New rear Brake Drums (Bendix)New rear Brake LinesNew Master cylinder.Serviced the Transmission & Cleaned out the differential and she shifts smooth when driving on the street or freeway.New batteryNew exhaust Interior:Beautiful. Not a tear in any upolstery or carpet. They actually look new.New $900 dash by "Just Dashes."All guages work. Only the trip meter does not work.New stereo system from Al & Eds.Electrical: Everything works. Body:There is a little rough patch that no one would notice in the back, above the left tail light. Looks like work was done. The body panels could use tightening. The car looks perfect from 15 feet away but a trained eye can see there's about an eighth of an inch extra gapping between some of the body panels and hood.Fixed locking mechanism in Passenger doorNo rust can be seen. Light surface rust in trunk. Water can get into trunk so it probably needs new weather stripping.Paint is nicely done with just a couple tiny cracks below the rear window.Convertible top looks good and works perfectly. Drives straight as an arrow. Better than my sons brand new Nissan. It won the "Judges Favorite" Trophy at the 1st Car Show I ever took it to and a "Best Mopar" Award at the last show. I wish I could keep it but I need to sell to help my business. I've put over $12,000 into it. My loss is your gain.Call with any questions 310 387-2723I'm happy to make it available for any inspections. On Mar-05-11 at 15:03:41 PST, seller added the following information: Reserve Price is $32,500!! SO close people!!
