40+miles/gallon highway 1984 Isuzu pup. 2.2L diesel engine. I did a frame-off restoration on this pickup about four years ago. The body is in perfect shape with the exeption of a few rust spots and bubbles i have shown in the pictures. There are no dents and nothing a little spot sand and paint can't fix. The engine runs perfect. Since the restoration I have replaced/fixed: waterpump, belts, seals in injection pump, transmission, refurbished radiator, alternator, thermostat, glow plugs, and lower ball joints. The newer wires you will notice in the pictures of the engine compartment are for the glow plugs (old relay system had stoped working) and the heater fan (original dash control stopped working). I have owned this truck for about five years and it has been a great truck. no major problems. Like all older vehicles there always in need of a little tinkering. I have enjoyed driving and tinkering on this project over the years, it is as reliable as any vehicle on the road I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere and it was my daily driver for some time. These vehicles require a certain buyer/collector. You may find interst in it for its nostalgic rare diesel engine or because of increasing fuel prices. I have too many vehicles and am currently trying to buy a house so I regretably need to sell this pup. These trucks are getting to be pretty rare to begin with, but i personally have never seen another "short box."On Mar-03-11 at 08:57:59 PST, seller added the following information: This is the five speed transmission. I Also forgot to add that I have recently replaced u-joints on both sides of the driveshaft, and put a new set of front break pads on (replaced front left caliper, and actually can't remember if it was necessary or if i did so on the other side). The emergency brake has always worked well.
