Vehicle Detail
Hello, You are viewing my freshly professionally restored 1965 Corvette roadster with a 327 and 4 spd with 56,296 miles and both the hard top (also restored, but not pictured) and soft top. Typically I restore historic road-racing cars, but I did this car up solely for my own enjoyment. I had no intention to ever sell this car, but I have a 1965 Cheetah that I am finishing up to race as well as a turbine powered car I am finishing and the Corvette sale will go towards those projects. I bought this car from a family that had owned it for well over a decade. It was a car that had no fiberglass damage and had a solid frame as well as being a very presentable driver, but I wanted it to be “just so”. I built this car to be a dead reliable and solid driving car that one could feel just as confident in city traffic as they would if they headed to the drag stip. It’s not as fast as my Viper, but certainly is very quick indeed! I think it is clearly evident that the paint (finished fall 2010) is absolutely stunning! The paint was done by a friend of mine who is a professional high-end automotive painter. He typically shoots Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, etc, and has even done work on a McLaren F1. The car truly drives fantastically and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sadly, I finished the car up just as the weather here in Ohio really got bad and I only got to enjoy driving the car around for one weekend. Argg!!! Consider this though, the car is now well sorted and it hasn’t been driven enough to show any wear on the restoration work. Beautiful! Hard top and soft top (Hard top newly restored as well, will include old pic) 4 spd 327 with 350 hp Teakwood steering wheel Leather seats Hurst shifter Modernized and hidden stereo system with concealed Ipod hook-up Big Block hood Special suspension and handling parts Tubular headers Twin circuit brake master cylinder for safety New, new, new, new parts, etc, etc, etc Please call for more details Instead of writing a book here about the car, all of the work done, all the new parts, and any other information, I invite you to call anytime for an in depth description and to talk about the restoration. I am happy to work with any prospective new owner so they have an enjoyable experience. If you need to have the car shipped to your location, I will be happy to help you make proper and cost effective arrangements. Naturally, I hold the title in my name and the car is ready for a new home. (Please enjoy it! I never had the chance. L) All photos were taken just a few hours ago. They represent the car in its current state. YouTube video of the car running and walk around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4zeMyw3BGU If you are serious, please call. Casey at (614) 832-8728 You are welcome to inspect this car anytime! One last note: Do not bid on this car unless you are able to buy it upon the closing of the auction. The car is advertised locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction. This car is for all intents and purposes, an antique, which is expressly sold “as is” with no warrantees expressed or implied. It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to know what they are purchasing. There are NO returns accepted, period. Once the transaction is complete and the title is signed over to the new owner, the car and all liabilities associated with it are the sole responsibility of the new owner.
