You are looking at a very clean 1986 Honda Shadow VT1100C, This bike was bought brand new in 1987 by a friend of mine in Milpitas CA. He put just under 3000 miles on it then parked it in the garage until I bought it from him in 2008.He would start the bike every few months to keep the engine lubricated. He always added Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer when he filled it up. I have it up for sale because I am buying a full dress bike so me and my wife can go on longer rides together. I ride the bike around town once in a while and take it on a trip once a year. My last trip was to Los Angeles, Las Vegas through the Desert and over Highway 120 through Yosemite National Park. Never had a problem with the bike. As you can see I have done some changes to the appearance of the bike. I have added a new front fairing, cruise control (throttle lock) and highway pegs for comfort. I have also had the seats and backrest redone and added softer foam. The engine and wheels have been blacked out for a cleaner look. The tank, fenders and side covers have been repainted. The tires and battery are new (installed just before I left for my last trip). The bike get great gas millage (about 52 miles per gallon cruising at 70mph). I have changed the oil and filter every 1500 miles or so. It is comfortable to ride, has plenty of power and very dependable. I have a clean tittle and the bike is registered until August 2011. Everything on the bike works. This model came with dual disk front brakes, fuel and temperature gauges on the tank and 2 spark plugs per cylinder.The transmission is a 5 speed and shifts smoothly. Keep in mind that the bike is 25 years old and is not in showroom condition. It does have some imperfections. I will include the full size bike cover with the purchase of the bike. Shipping I prefer that you pick the bike up but I am willing to drop the bike off at a local freight company. If the buyer wants the bike shipped he/she will be responsible for all of the shipping costs required to ship the bike to the destination of the buyer. Buyer will be responsible for getting the shipping quotes prior to purchase. I will not be providing a shipping cost. The weight of the bike is approximately 600 lbs.
