Vehicle Detail

2009 Honda DN-01 - Brand New - Crossover - Auto Transmission Here's one of the most revolutionary two-wheeled machines ever built! Is it a motorcycle? Is it a scooter? It's both! Honda's innovative crossover. The best of both worlds. The nimbleness and ease of handling of a scooter....just twist the throttle and go. It also has the features of some of the best motorcycles on the market today such as large 17 inch wheels, disc brakes front and rear, single sided swingarm (this Pro Am system is similar to what Honda uses on the new Interceptor), shaft drive and 6 speed manual transmission mode. Only Honda, the finest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world, could bring this incredible machine to market. The high torque engine has its roots in the wonderfully smooth Honda V-Twin engines of the 1980's through present. Smooth and reliable, this 52 degree liquid cooled engine has links to the early Honda Shadows, the NX650, the Hawk GT NT650, the PC800 Pacific Coast and the legendary XL600V Transalp. It is a SOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder. It is fuel injected with 40mm throttle bodies and 12 hole injectors and of course it has electronic ignition. This engine has extremely low emissions and meets all EPA standards and the stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements. The fully automatic HFT (Human Friendly Transmission) drivetrain offers three modes. Select the "D" mode and it is a stepless automatic, switch to the "S" (Sport) mode for more spirited riding or select the "M" (Manual) mode to use the 6 speed clutchless option. It comes with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), the front and the and rear systems are linked together. Up front there are dual 296mm discs and a 276mm single disc in the rear. The wheel base is a leisurely 63.2" to easily absorb the roadway imperfections. The DN-01 has a low 27.2" seat height for those vertically challenged riders but the precisely angled floorboards will make the ride comfortable for much taller riders as well. The front wheel sports a 130/70 ZR17 radial tire and the rear wheel carries a wide 190/50 ZR17 radial tire. For more details, check Honda's website. Here's the link to the DN-01: http://powersports.honda.com/street/crossover.aspx Motorcycle.com reviewed this unique machine. They said, "The DN defies immediate classification. It's shark-like nose brings to mind a futuristic sportbike and is its strongest styling asset, but its considerable length gives it a laid-back cruiser profile. It looks like a mega-scooter too." They went on to say that riding the DN couldn't be easier and it was able to outrun a Harley Sportster 883. It is capable of cruising along at 80 mph. The retail price for this 2009 DN-01 is $15,599. The reserve has been realistically set at less than half of MSRP, save thousands and thousands of dollars. This bike comes with the original Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin. It is brand new and has never been titled. A 12 month, unlimited mileage, full factory warranty begins at the date of purchase. Be the first owner of this fine machine. Check your state laws, you may be responsible for sales taxes since this is a new, untitled motorcycle. Weather you are new to motorcycling or an experienced rider, this bike may just be your ticket to fun. Here's your chance to own a brand new, revolutionary crossover motorcycle at an extremely affordable price. This bike is destined to become a very collectible machine in the not too distant future. Buy, ride and enjoy it or hold and display this unique machine. Rare indeed, this bike is number 000069 of the assembly line. It's a Honda.....from the company that has set the standards in motorcycling for over 60 years. The buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses. We will be happy to assist your shipper.
