Due to lying buyers my Dart is again up for sale. I am 69 years of age and health issues require that I sell "Blue Thunder". It is with great sadness that I must part with it. It's a 1974 Dart Swinger and I am the third owner. In no particular order it has: a Stroked (408 c,i,) small block with a very mild street cam, headers, electronic ignition, Edelbrock intake and monster Edelbrock carb. The heads were reworked and some cleaning up of the ports done. Engine has a little less than 12,000 on it and driven only in the summer. Beefed 904 tranny, high stall converter Flowmaster mufflers and 8 3/4 323 posi rearend. With the current axle ratio it will turn in the13's. With a 410 axle it is a 12 sec machine.(Very, very scary for someone my age)! Was repainted a few years back, had a new vinyl top installed and the car has NO RUST THROUGH AT ALL!!! The interior is in near perfect condition (though the dash pad does have some cracks).It has a high end Sony radio/cd with a Kicker 650 amp in the trunk driving 4 super speakers. P/S,Pwr front disc brakes and FAC A/C. All lights and instruments work as they should. All glass is good and all windows go up/down as they should. Suspension is tight and brakes are new and correct for a v/8 as this car had a 318 originally. This car does get the looks when people hear the rumble of the exhaust coming up to the cruise-ins. It can be driven anywhere however the fuel mileage is not great with the current carb.(probably has dime sized jets in it). I just would have taken a little more effort in the prep. I was going to try the fine wet sanding method and compounding of the paint to bring it up to par. The front end is in perfect condition. Does NOT overheat at all. These are answers to questions that keep getting asked. The wheels are original Dodge. The engine and underhood area could use some detailing (another spring project). After I bought the car had some major back surgery and was unable to attend to the small chores needed to bring the car up to a near show condition. I am facing some more really serious back surgery and really won't be able to work on it for several months thus needing to sell it.
