Vehicle Detail

It gives me great pleasure to offer this VERY RARE 1953 R25/2 in EXCELLENT CONDITION. This bike began as a "survivor" with faded paint and minor cosmetic issues, no damage or dents. The term refurbish best fits what was done to this bike to ready it for sale. The new, and very well done paint job, is gloss black with hand applied white pinstripes. The elephant ear front fender is steel and is original to the bike. The original rims, which are included with the bike, were pitted and painted. The new Excel rims, with stainless spokes, were installed for rideability. The aluminum parts were massaged to the current fresh look using care to not harm the original finish. This bike was a lucky find; purchased from a collector of Brit bikes who had to take this when buying a museum collection. The buyer gets the owners manual and tool box key. A couple of the photos show a bolt in the tool box, which has been replaced with the correct key recepticle. The exhaust system is fairly new, and the speedometer is new (unknown brand aftermarket) and it works with 29 miles indicated. The steel dust cover at the final drive knucle is cracked (see photo) and has been repaired. This is common, and does not affect the operation of the shaft in any way. Ready to ride and enjoy, don't pass this one up! Summary of services performed, and parts replaced, with notes: Refreshed top end, with gaskets and seals All fluids changed Splines lubed and checked Tune-up New cables and misc. rubber items replaced All bearings (fork and wheels) cleaned and lubed Your questions are welcome, and are best handled directly by Fred - fredwiley@aol.com or 208-336-0367. The bike is available for local inspection in Boise, Idaho by arrangement, please. There are no mechanical issues, and the bike runs and handles just as it subposed to. Rally on this one if you dare! The winning bidder is asked to transfer a $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal, and begin making arrangements for payment with me, within 72 hours of the auctions end. The transaction to be completed within a 7 day period, unless other arrangements have been made. I will be happy to turn the bike over to your shipper, according to your directions, by your arrangement. All shipping arrangements and cost are the responsibility of the buyer. Deposit may be made by PayPal, balance by cash or cashiers check.
