Auction is for my 1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible. Car has the original 318 and automatic transmission. I was planning on pulling out the original drivetrain and putting in a built 440 but plans have changed and now the car is for sale. The car runs and drives but it would still need the brakes,lights and usual mechanicals all checked before I would drive it a long distance. Motor is stock, just has headers and dual exhaust. It obviously needs some more work done before it is finished. Carpet is new, but still needs seats recovered,dash pad cracked in usual places, and the roof has a tear in the middle section. The rest of the roof is in good shape and not dried out, the centre section could be repaired. Rear glass is in good shape. The power roof works fine. Rest of the glass is in good shape. The trunk was rusty so I had a new one piece pan installed along with new trunk drops and quarter skins and new rear valance. Front drivers floor pan was replaced years ago and still solid. Rest of floors are original. I included a picture of the fender tag, cowl and rad support numbers all match, dash vin is in place, I did not find a build sheet. Car is an original B-5 convertible, not many of these left. This car needs some more time and money spent on it to get it right, the interior, mechanicals checked, tires are all good but the Cragars are old and showing there age now. Body and paint is in good shape but there is some orange peel in the clear, with a wet sand and polish the car would look even better. The car is being stored inside at a friend's garage. Car is for sale locally as well, auction can end at any time. I require a $500 non refundable deposit at the end of the auction. Balance within 5 days in cash, or certified funds. Car doesn't leave until all funds clear. Clear title in my name. The car can be stored for a period of time if the winning bidder needs some time until it can be picked. As long as car is paid for. On 16-Feb-11 at 21:31:37 EST, seller added the following information: I added some pictures of the torque box area and front frame rails also another picture of the floor. The car hasn't been driven on a regular basis for a couple years and the underside hasn't been detailed or cleaned in a long time. The car also has the small 7 1/4 rear end. I purchased an 8 3/4 rear end housing that I was going to build up for the car. I also bought a very clean 24 inch radiator for it as well. These will go with the car and any other items that I have for the car. The engine bay was also painted when the car was done. No cracks or chips in front windshield. Stainless trim is in good shape around the front glass, no pitting. The power roof does work fine, frame is not rusted out.
