Vehicle Detail
Positives: This car is immaculate! I purchased this vehicle brand new in 2001 from Ferman on Florida Ave. I have absolutely loved this car and have kept it in extremely good condition. This is the GSR vTECH model. It essentially provides a significant performance boost once you hit 6k RPMS. The car is stock and runs perfectly. The car has received the following recently: New Clutch (less than 3k) New Pressure Plate (less than 3k) New Water Pump (less than 3k) New Timing Belt (less than 3k) A/C is cold. Wheels are premium factory. Interior is in pristine condition. Tires are in excellent condition, upgraded in the last couple of years. Kumho Ecsta ASX! Upgrades: 35w 6000k Xenon HID lights (ballasts behind quarter panels) Upgraded stereo w/ XM support Pioneer XM installed into trunk, interfaces w/ radio Negatives: There was a leak through the FM Antenna. I have capped the antenna and the car no longer leaks. FM radio still works without the annoying antenna. There are a few minor dings, all are visible in photos. Check Engine light is on, however I was informed it is the catalytic converter and it does not have to be changed. The door sensor is enabled as well, but I believe it is the trunk sensor. Comments: I have kept this covered and only driven on the weekends for enjoyment for the last couple of years, however now that we have two young kids my wife and I have decided to sell two cars to buy a newer one. So, my pride and joy must go. It is being sold "As Is". You may call Chris at 813-309-1185 with any questions. Thank You. Deposit of $500 due in 48hrs from auction closing and full payment due in 7 days from auction closing. Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. On Feb-19-11 at 16:40:11 PST, seller added the following information: Good evening everyone, I know that most people have decided to wait until the last day to bid and there has a been a tremendous amount of traffic reviewing my car. I greatly appreciate all of the interest and feedback that has been provided to me. I have absolutely loved this car and have truly taken care of it. I have a couple of items to update, as I am providing all of the details to each of you and have made myself available to answer any questions through phone or email. I do not want anyone to feel as though I left out any information. 1) I drove the car today and there does appear to be an oil leak on the left side of the engine block. It is not leaving a puddle on the ground by any means. I noticed three small drips on the ground after leaving it parked for a few hours. I have updated the slideshow to reflect the engine block, to clear up any questions on how it looks. Again, the car drives extremely well and I have properly maintained this vehicle, so do not worry about that. 2) I had originally stated that the catalyst converter had gone bad. That was according to a shop whom I had asked to run the check engine light for me. I received a phone call yesterday and the guy told me it was impossible. This made me want to research it further. Error code 67 is for the Catalyst System, but that is not the error code that I am receiving. My findings are as follows, as I believe it is better news than the cat being bad. The information below will show us what the check engine light codes are and additionally how we can determine the code ourselves with a paper clip. I did this earlier today and the code is 65. I will happily demonstrate this for you at the time of the exchange of the car. Error code 65 is the Secondary Oxygen Sensor Heater. Apparently it is the sensor behind the cat, so it does not necessarily mean that the cat needs replaced. There are articles online that walk you through how to change it yourself, if interested. It provides a little additional HP and provides a nice deep tone when the vTECH kicks in. 4) The tint is brand new as well. I just had it done less than 6 months ago. I had the same level of tint on the car since I bought it new in 2001. So, that is close to 10 years that it lasted, which is amazing. I had the same place do the tint again this time round, because they do such a phenomenal job. I was never pulled over due to the tint being so dark, but I guess it is always a possibility. 5) I have the original yellow plastic lenses for the front lights/blinkers on the vehicle and you may have them with the auction if you would like. Photos have been added to the slideshow. 6) I have the original Acura leather booklet with manual, and valet key. I actually forget the difference in the key, but it will be provided as well. Photos have been added to the slideshow. 7) On a positive note, I previously never mentioned that to further care for my car, the only fuel that I have used is 93 octane. While this may be overkill, I wanted to keep my fuel injectors clean with the vTECH technology being used. I have never had a major engine problem because I have properly maintained this car and again, it drives extremely well. 8) I wish everyone the best of luck in bidding. If there are any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask and thank you everyone very much for your interest. I know the rarity of finding a GSR integra in this level of condition and that is why I am confident the winner of this auction will be extremely happy with their decision. Thank You, Chris
